Mister Gregor is missing? Since when?
He'd mentioned to me that there were individuals working on this database project. I assume you are one of them?
One of the theories myself and a compatriot has been tossing about is the concept that this world may be a dream. Or rather, a dream-based world created through an aggregate of Jnana energy or something equivalent to it that mimics the real-world rules of whatever dream aggregate it's drawing from, but which operates based on a set of rules that don't conform to real-world rules.
A better way of explaining it might be taking, let's say, fifty dreams of a similar universe, and averaging them out to create a standardised world that those trapped in the dream can still interact with. The dream is hosted on a platform, and needs energy to keep the dream running.
As for evidence: the consistent cyclical replenishing of supplies as if the dream as a beginning and end that consistently loops, the lack of accumulation of dust, the set boundaries that prevent exit out of a certain square footage area of the city, the fact that the world still adheres to specific laws of physics, chemistry and so on and so forth.
Given that the rules of this current world-space isn't congruent with the physical rules that govern the place where I come from (Teyvat), I was about to start interviewing individuals who understand this world better as a starting point.
