so this was going to be a post about a database i'm working on with some other people and hopefully more people but one of those people seems to be unreachable now so this is also an APB for Gregor.

onto other shit: we've been working on a document that keeps all the facts we know and all the theories we're currently trying to prove/disprove. it's encrypted for obvious reasons but click the link and I'll get you access no problem [ for all those who have come across his videos on how to use encryptions and how to make yourself purely anonymous, fear not! the stupid naming conventions continue: satanwasababyboomer.doc but its safe to assume that anyone who clicks gains both access to view and edit pretty quickly. ]

this tech is pretty old for me. i'm doing what i can to make it both secure AND accessible. if you're talented with early 2000s technology c'mon down. maybe you can make something work that i can't.

i have to admit i'm not the greatest at keeping on top of things like this. could really use the extra hands in general. there are some other people looking to do the same thing as this but hard copy. mingle with them if that's your bag. assuming they reply here (please reply here if/when you see this... if you want to).

also just for my own curiosities: calling all tech people. engineers, programmers, whatever. let's put our heads together. help one another out.

It's not a matter of splitting the work, it's absolutely the previous two times he's been through something just like this city on a smaller scale that drives him crazy about it, the idea of not just sucking it up and playing along with the team to get the fuck out. When people don't coordinate, they start dying! When someone breaks off from the group, they get fucking killed! Junpei has had enough of arguing that maybe Things should be done about Situations.

But he's not here to unpack all of his stuck-in-a-Saw-trap trauma, so he just lifts his hands, like, fine. Keep it to themselves at least, hmph.]

[ Oh. Ok, this is something that might need unpacking. He caught up, cautiously. ] Hey, man. I— [ Wrench knows a lot about death. [It's the dying that does it, really. Not the kidnapping, not the mysteries, not the people who roll their eyes at trust and teamwork, but the whole... death bit. Junpei scowls; go figure that when he held that stupid bracelet from the bank vault and told people about being stuck in Dcom it was just another Tuesday, but here it's so...

Well, the psyche is a pain in the ass, so there. He makes a face down at his shoes, then:]

[ Its, uh. It's a thing that's hard to comprehend and deal with. It should be hard to deal with. Meant you were still fucking human. He was patient for Junpei's answer, though. Nodded up ahead not too far away to a coffee shop. ] I'd say its on me but... yanno. [ STILL FUCKING WEIRD. Pack of smokes away, he started heading in that direction just to stop and try to hasten the smoking progress. ] Gimme a sec to finish, man.

[Yeah yeah, he's chill, he's not in a rush. Wrench is being nice enough to, uh, spiritually treat him to coffee, but he's not exactly rushing to go talk about his trauma or anything...]

I'll pretend it's on you.

[ He doesn't give a damn if you ever talk about it, dude. It's just about taking a break from the search effort and having a cup. Wrench is... very cagey about certain things. He's not going to pry. He'll open the door, grab the coffee, pass one over to Junpei and just sprawl over the whole fucking booth bench. ]

You're welcome, then! [ Besides, he can make stupid conversation that comes out of nowhere no problem. hold on he's actually just going to lay down on this bench. a tattooed arm the only thing on the table for the time being. ] you ever wonder why pants is plural?

[Oh boy, coffee... Give Junpei a second to destroy whatever this blend was trying to achieve by dumping to much sugar in it, like, saturation-point amounts of sugar. It's better like this. The crunch really makes it.

He'll be stirring for like two minutes though now, just sitting there and looking at Wrench's arm like okay....]

.... [okay,] Some people think it's because they used to be two separate legs instead of one piece of clothing, [he is a wikipedia gremlin at heart,] buuuut some people think it's more likely that the word is just like that. Plural all the time. Like glasses, or scissors. Or, uh, clothes.

[Actually true: his ambitionless depressive episode functionally faded all of his college friendships into nothing, and he's never had a social circle outside of school or... locked room murder games. No access.

Oh man, some day we're gonna need to fix this somehow. Holy shit. [ A beat. He takes a sip of his coffee. ] I mean, if you wanna. Nothing's more irritating than some assfuck peer pressuring people into whatever.

[ Oh boy, depressive episodes!! He knows those. Been trying to stave one off for awhile actually. rip. ]
