[At first it's just an eyebrow with some muttering about stupid contraptions.] How does this thing work?

[He pulls it closer, but there's an eye now. You wanted to see an eye, right?] And just how are you supposed to tell if it is working?

[He sighs before holding it a little farther away.] Well, I do not know if it is working. This thing is unusual at best. I suppose I might as well make an introduction. Hello. [He goes to tip the hat that is not there before making an annoyed expression and moving on.] My name is John Henry, but you may call me Doc. If anyone is better with these things, I believe I may be in need of some instruction.

Unless I am talking to myself. [This is said softer and meant to be mostly to himself.] Perhaps I ought to stop this before I make even more of a fool of myself.

All right. I will be there shortly.

[It doesn't take long for Tsuna to reach the lobby, which is fairly empty, so he's easy to spot. He's keeping an eye out from one of the walls near the elevator.

It's surprisingly watchful, for someone his age.]

[Doc makes a point to step off the elevator carefully. He is still not fully certain that he trusts it as it is. But at least he has not plummeted to his death.

As he looks around, he spots a young boy.] Hello, there.

[theskyaccepts]

Ah! Hello!

Doc Holiday, right? I’m Tsuna, from the network.

[He brightens as he sees Doc.]

Ah. A pleasure to make your acquaintance. [There's a brief pause before he adds.] In person, that is.

But yes. I am [He, to his credit, does not introduce himself as John Henry Holliday despite the urge to do so] Doc Holliday.

So, uh what can I help you with? You wanted to know how the phone works, right?

Well, I am still new to the telly-phone...y. [He frowns slightly before correcting.] Telephone.

[He pulls it out the phone.] Someone has said there is a way to do just the audio? Just a voice? [There's a beat.] And do you know how to make the mail...um. Where you leave messages?

[theskyaccepts]

Yeah, there's ways to do both of that!

And...I'm guessing you mean texting? Or email?

[Either way, it should be pretty straightforward. At least, Tsuna thinks so.]

[He means the voicemail, but it's okay.]

Oh. I mean...sometimes the girls are upset that I do not have it set up when I miss their calls?

But I do not know how to do those very much either. How do you know how to do punctuation? It's easier to write on paper.

[theskyaccepts]

Oh! Voicemail! Yeah, I need to figure that out too...

[He's a teenager. He tends to text.]

But with punctuation, you have to get to a second keyboard. It's this button.

[And he'll pull up the keyboard on his phone to show it.]

Ah. Well, perhaps someone will inform us both.

[That is fine enough, he supposes. Someone will help him eventually.

Doc peers over his shoulder as he pulls up the keyboard on his phone.]

I see. That is an awful lot of steps.

[theskyaccepts]

If you find someone, let me know!

And yeah, it is, but with practice you sort of get used to it. But you can also turn the phone on its side to get a bigger keyboard.

[And he flips his phone to show that as well.]

Some people find that a little easier.

[One must always 'pay it forward' as the youth seem to be in the habit of sayin'. Or perhaps that is simply Waverly pullin' his leg.]

Oh. That is useful. My eyesight is still quite keen, but sometimes it helps to be able to see clearly.

[He follows suit on his own phone, trying to type, which is taking a longer time than it likely would if he was used to this, but that's no matter. Eventually he manages something. And with the punctuation! Though, the spelling leaves much to be desired and...]

How do you stop it from changin' words to other words?

[theskyaccepts]

Oh! I think that's a setting you can turn off...

[And he starts searching through his own phone. It takes a moment.]

I know that can be really annoying.

[Doc is relieved that that is possible. They don't want to be unable to type without having to go back and re-type the whole thing.]
