[ the video comes first!

heine films from where he's sitting on top of a mailbox on a street corner. it's a slow pan across an empty intersection just northeast of the bank—the bank building itself is visible, as a landmark for where he is, but he also makes a point of filming as much down each street as he can manage. master film director heine is not, but at least he manages to pick out a few identifying storefronts so people can triangulate themselves!

there's no talking, or really any sound at all (which for heine is still one of the worst parts of this place). once he's filmed enough that he thinks the location has been conveyed, the video cuts off.

when he uploads it, it's with a text accompaniment: ]

let me get this out of the way first: i'm not trying to die
and i also don't want to kill anyone [ today, anyway! ]


but if you're also here without the weapons you're used to
don't want to get stuck with your thumb up your ass if shit goes wrong
and think you could use a good fight to keep your skills sharp

then hopefully you can figure out from the video where to go
if you can't then [ he is judging you slightly ] ask for directions

[Loki takes a moment to analyze the area behind the man before figuring out the likely area and making his way to him. It feels like it takes an eternity to arrive considering he cannot currently teleport so far. It makes him annoyed and even more ready for a fight. When he arrives in the area he looks around to see if he can spot the man.]

[ if the albinism doesn't make him stand out enough, with the shock of white hair and bright red eyes, then proabbly the fact that he's one of the only people in the immediate vicinity will probably do the trick. he's sitting on one of the curbs, knives atop the jacket on the sidewalk next to him, and appears for all intents and purposes to be just enjoying the sun.

when he feels loki's approach, he cracks open one eye and looks over at him, then lifts a hand in brief greeting. ] Yo.

[ climbing to his feet, heine dusts himself off a little and picks up the knives—they're nothing fancy, just filet knives from what was probably a sushi restaurant. at least they're sharp, good quality. ]

I'm Heine. What are your terms? [ forgive his lack of small talk—heine is no good at pleasantries. ]

[There really isn’t much physically about anyone that really makes them stand out to Loki. He’s met all types of people with all sorts of appearances. Hel, even he is actually blue with red eyes. Though he can’t say the white hair and red eyes doesn’t stand out, he just thinks the man not human as he approaches.

The knives are small and possibly too weak, but Loki thinks he’s really in no position to demand anything. If he can win them. Scratch that, when he wins them, they will be better than the nothing he’s currently got, especially since his magic is weak at best.]

[ he's... sort of right about that, anyway, the part about heine not being fully human—just not exactly in the same way that loki isn't fully human. ]

Good, I'm not interested in killing. [ and he's incapable of dying, but as it turns out, aren't they all? ] Until we're done, then?

[ first blood is meaningless, in heine's opinion. first down—like, first down and staying down, not just who hits the cement and gets back up—has seen some success, but loki had come on so confident that it seems like it's going to be more fun to just fight, no holds barred. ]

[Forget 'isn't fully' and try 'isn't at all.' If he even get the hint that someone thinks him human, he will likely correct them on the spot. It's not that he currently has anything against humans, and he thinks of them as more than just ants now, but he does still feel he is a superior being. He does not wish to be underestimated.

Loki isn't really aware of the not being able to die thing, he hasn't much been paying attention to the murder fiasco going on, but he did discover recently that he's already dead and doesn't particularly want to test his luck in trying again.] Yes, until we are done.

[He wonders idly as they stand there if he should try to take it easy on the man, seeing as it seems as though he does not know who Loki is, but then again, Loki isn't as confident as he normally would be going into a bout like this. Normally he can conjure his daggers and rely on his magic.

Still there is something about that not knowing that is making this more exciting.]

[ indeed, heine has no real concept of loki—Shitty Future Dystopia Europe has a very loose tie to the abrahamic gods and almost none whatsoever to the ones who predate him, so the name hadn't rung any bells. ]

All right. [ heine hands over one of the knives, offering it hilt-first. it's not what he's used to fighting with, but it'll serve their purposes today, he figures—anything is better than nothing when they've been so forcibly relieved of their usual weaponry.

he brings his own knife up, tension bleeding from his shoulders, his defensive posture relaxed enough that it doesn't give away how ready he is. ]

（ he missed this part of fighting, you know? the the time the quincy war happened, he'd been so worn down from everything he barely had time to do more than fight and move on. and just about every fight that mattered had been a resounding failure until that final clash with yhwach. but it was with grimmjow that he'd discovered a genuine joy in the clash, and this is — bringing that back, a little.

he closes the distance anew, and shifts into a stance that's almost more like american boxing, and then he swipes a strike at heine's core. he'd been on the defensive at first — now turnabout is fair play. ）

[Finding someone who truly has never heard of him would likely have Loki feeling torn. Part of him likes fame far too much to not want that kind of attention, but on the other hand, the idea of someone not knowing him is intriguing. He thinks he could possibly get away with a lot more if more people didn't know his reputation. As it was though, plenty of people here did seem to know him, so it was unlikely he'd be able to test that.

Taking the knife from Heine, Loki tests its weight. It is surprisingly well balanced and though it clearly is not made for fighting, it must have been used by a professional of some descript. A bit of a wicked smile crosses Loki's face and he flips the knife, spinning it in the air until it come down to land, handle in palm.]

This will do.

[Would he have preferred his typical two daggers? Of course, but beggars cannot be choosers. Loki takes up a starting stance, showing his training with confidence before starting to circle around the other man, assessing him.

[ heine clocks the change in posture, then clocks the swing just before it comes. ichigo isn't as easy to read as some of the other opponents heine has sparred today, and he only narrowly manages to dodge the swing, dropping his center of gravity and sweeping a leg toward ichigo's ankles.

being put on the defensive this ways is interesting. back home heine tries not to fight up close if he can avoid it, but when he does, his strength and speed (and healing) almost always give him the upper hand. even in his fights with luki and noki, or with giovanni, the others of einstürzen's children, there had always been that element of distance, too—heine has never felt the physical pressure of being evenly matched against someone just as strong.

no, if he's honest, ichigo is probably stronger. heine is just mostly quick enough to dodge.

but that doesn't mean he's not going to go down without a fight! as they exchange blows, heine circles a little, putting a bit of space between them so he can kick at ichigo's chest—he's avoiding the head, having no idea what ichigo's capacity for healing is, but the chest feels like fair game. ]

[ Let him ramble, Heine!!! As the OG Anonymous, he doesn't like people knowing a lot about him. Even if its as simple as "I'm pretty amateur when it comes to fisticuffs".

That aside! There were all good reasons to start a fight club, really. Wrench understood the necessity behind this kind of a call beyond the 'I'm bored and I'm processing' parts. No one knew what they were up against but they were disarmed and those few people who had powers or abilities (which was still weird to him but he's rolling with it) had a major cap on them. They needed to be prepared in every way they could be.

Which didn't mean he couldn't banter! ] Give me a few swings first. I have to get into the mood, y'know? [ Winky McWinkerson. It's fine, Heine. He's known others with dry humor. ] Let's go fists. You got rules?
