Ah, perhaps this is a security concern.
Actually, I'd like to pick your brain for a moment: you're surveying for a large dataset on a network designed for open access, but there are things you're not willing to say on it.
Is this for the purpose, then, of attracting attention from whoever is reading it? The drawing of the proverbial eye as a point of singularity for them to observe while a secondary dataset is being collected?
Or is this this a two-pronged test, to see what information will be gleaned by those reading, versus if they are capable of listening in on oral conversations as well. For example, if they were to show up and start speaking to what they've recently heard and seen, you can compare if the information is solely from the network or from in-person discussion.

Fair enough. I suppose that you made it clear you didn't mind if the information you received had specific details about the abilities, and this sort of thing was entirely voluntary.
Are there a lot of people on your finger-picked list right now? This is just curiosity, so you don't have to give me a number or anything.

So you are cautious, and you don't trust easily. Those are good traits when we're in the situation we are in, I think.
You ought to choose a few more people to tell it to, however. I've had my suspicions that because they are able to dampen powers, they must also be able to remove their dampening. Furthermore, the fact that there are some powers that have only been reduced and not taken away entirely suggests a kind of finesse in their control. They may be able to amplify it either, or use it for themselves entirely.
The more people you trust to know the in's and out's of what you can do, the better they can plan if we end up used against one another. That shouldn't be something out of the question for a place like this, right?

Hah! I personally don't think I'm worth that manner of trust. But I suspect you have good judgment behind you, so you won't make the sort of mistake of trusting someone you ought not to.
Thank you, by the way, for the kaomoji. I'll definitely be finding ways to use them.
