What is this?

[Spoken after shoveling a mouthful of ice cream into her mouth. She'd normally feel embarrassed about doing so. But for once sine arriving here, Senua thinks she might have found something she really enjoys!

She has a whole tub of strawberry in front of her.]

"Sweet."
"What is this? What is this."

[Even the voices that only Senua could hear sounded pleased as they buzzed and giggled in her ears.]

It's very sweet, and soft! Tastes like red berries.

"It's cream!"

"Oh. Oh it's good! Ehehehe~!"

It reminds me of milk frozen in winter. Or ice that has been ground.

[Another bite, and her eyes light up. She doesn't even really pay attention to the music playing in the background. Not yet. But it is quite audible on the video. For a moment her eyes lose focus and close. More giggles around her. So very many. They sounded pleased, they all sounded thrilled. And a feeling of euphoria washed over Senua at their sounds.]

Indeed! It's brilliant! I would have never thought you could.make something like this with cream and ice and berries.

[Stated rather happily as she sits on the floor, a blanket under her, tub in lap, and scooper in hand. Someone is quite overjoyed by this! Even the depressing tone of the song seemed to be drowned away. Another bite, another smile.

Congrats, Crowley. You get to witness someone who is clearly a blue painted Pict, eating ice cream and gushing about it.]

Truly brilliant. Is this something normal and widely available here? I'd have thought this to be something for the absolute privileged.

[The voices chime in chorus, gushing alongside her.]

Amazing the things you clever people come up with. And food productions come a bit of a ways since your time; something like this is a pretty widely available treat.

[The voices hush up a little more. Then begin whispering to themselves. Talking about this person's strange words. About how she can hear his voice but not see him. Senua begins to look questioning as she continues to munch on her delicious treat.]

Mmhm. This place is about a millennium and some change - give or take a couple centuries - from your own. Time's just a bit wobbly here is all. Nothing to be too worried about.

Anyway. Secrets!

You see those checkered cones? They're a sort of very sweet flatbread you can put scoops of icecream in to carry around. They're very good.

Ah- that. I've noticed that. [Sort of. Her own view of the world is kind of... skewed in all sorts of odd directions.]

...This place... settlement... city- space. It doesn't seem the most stable.

[That's coming from her. Another lick of ice cream follows.]

As for the odd bread-like cones. Why would you do something like that? When it already comes in bowls you can carry? Seems a little daft.

[Senua looks incredulous at the idea of an ice cream cone! Oh dear....]

That's because it isn't. It's all a bit weird. Seems safe enough for now, though.

Anyway, why wouldn't you want to carry food around in a container you can eat afterwards? Adds to the fun.

...I suppose it is, if you only wish for a little. But why have only a little, when you can have a lot?

[Cue her gesturing to the tub she has. It's already almost halfway gone. Girl is really digging this.]

Also rather odd. It's a cream, incredibly sweet with bits of red berries inside of it. Cold, and melts in your mouth. Whoever had thought to create this must have been incredibly clever. This is unlike anything I've ever had. Beyond flavored snow or ice.

Yes, it's frozen water that falls from the sky. You can mix it with something sweet, or use it to chill a drink. It's quite good. But nothing like this.

[ He definitely wants to try it... but it feels a little silly. Still, he's as food driven as his brother. ]
