A-hem! Whilst I know there is never a good time for a party, particularly in a city that one may find disquietingly peaceful, [ not that she does nope, ] what I wish to propose to thee is something that may prove more useful in the long run:

A festival-like gathering where we may show off, speak of, and eat the diversity we have brought with us from wherever we hail! For example, in my City [ note the implied capitalization ] there are very many Districts, and each one has its own tradiciones, cuisine, and even values which differ from even their close neighbors! It is a most fascinating thing, and I am one of several whom have the pleasure to be travelling through them all -- or I was, before now.

[ it was fun. not for like, a handful of them so far, but very fun. so cool to see the different sights. the different smells. the tastes. ]

I will not enforce thy participation in any way, but those who attend shall be granted food and a chance to speak on their own adventures, values, and world -- those who do not attend will be sorrowful saps whose spines resemble that of a curling worm, rather than the straight edge of a blade! If I have made myself clear, or thee find thyself angered by my word, then do come! There will also be a special surprise at the end, which I think many will be enamored by!

Certainly! There are many fun games one can play with and without set pieces, and I... shall figure out music as well. The parlor's temptations would have been trouble, thee see, though the machine in there would have been useful. What sort of games do thee like to play?

I'm by no means a chef, but any excuse to get my companions to eat more than prepackaged food is a welcome one. In a city with virtually limitless resources and it seems I'm the crazy one for suggesting there's no need to rely on ration bars all the time.

For a party like this Shish Taouk sems appropriate. Maybe Fattoush just in case I can persuade someone to at least try eating a vegetable for a change. Importantly, both are easy to make with ingredients I can find quite easily.

Oh! I'd also be more than happy to bring my violin if you'd like?

cannot judge ration bars, her and roomie mostly eat pre-packaged and ready-made stuff, they cook every now and then but it's just. basics beyond basics. one commits war crimes and the other has potential but lacks the confidence. ]

Depending on what vegetable is in thy second dish, I may try it as well -- I much dislike tubers, thee see, so I ask that there is no potato included. But they sound interesting by name alone, so I am eager to see what they are like!

And yes, please do! I am at a loss as what to do for music, though I shall be on the look out for stores from which I may borrow a thing or two if it suits the mood. A violin will be most welcome!!!

... I become rather antsy if I have little to do, for I am accustomed to a life of constant movement. Though I cannot deny that pockets of rest are important, as we are afforded these in our work, throughout the day we fight a variety of foes. This is how I have chosen to keep idle hands busy, whilst doing what I can to ensure we do not fall to a kind of apathy. Anger is not the only way to combat it, effective as it has been for others in my line of work.
