Ever feel like summer goes by too fast sometimes?
[Being trapped in an increasingly strange city notwithstanding.
And that's probably the source of Tsuna's worries. He can't help but feel a little homesick. If he was back home, he'd probably be anticipating the start of school, savouring the last few chances he has to goof off with his friends. There would be a festival, they could watch the fireworks together. But they're there and he's here. It kind of sucks.
It's late evening, turning into night as he types out his message. He's found an old playground near his apartment. An old metal and wooden affair that he probably would have avoided as a kid. One of those classic death traps. There's a metal merry-go-round not too far away, and a rickety-looking teeter-totter. Tsuna himself is standing on top of a metal curvy slide that's probably about a size taller than it should be to be safe. That he is there probably says something despite his timid nature. There's a wooden play structure nearby with some more slides and a fireman's pole. Some swings that look in about the same condition as the teeter-totter.
Tsuna glances between his phone and the sky, looking thoughtful as the night settles in.
ooc: available before or after the event, since he'll probably come back here after some time in the mall.]

I have always felt as though summer and winter are the seasons that are both particularly long. Does it seem shorter to you for any particular reason?

And well, I guess...ending up here kinda cut my vacation short it feels like. And if I was home, I'd probably be starting school soon.
Kinda feel like I haven't had the chance to do anything I normally would.
no subject
I believe that many people feel as though their schedules have been interrupted in this world. Still, your words do make me wonder if others will seek to create normalcy here.
Education is important -- perhaps something can be done to help further those who still wish to learn.
no subject
But yeah. It kinda sucks. There's a lot of stuff I feel like I'm missing. And I'm kind of worried that my friends don't know where I am. I don't even know how you'd make something normal here, outside of routine.
I'm not really in any position to anything school wise though.
no subject
For now, we must focus on what we can do.
... I understand. Perhaps if not school, would a hobby be something you could occupy your mind with? To make this world seem more normal to you?
no subject
[And if they do ever figure out where he is, god help those in charge.]
A hobby might be nice though. I haven't really seen any arcades or anything like that. But, there's gotta be something
no subject
( She can't help but think of lost friendships as she types that. If he were speaking to her face to face, he may have seen a bittersweet smile on her face. The past can be painful, but she knows to look to the future, too. )
I assume that arcades are unique to your world? But, perhaps this may be a time when you may be able to find something new you may be able to enjoy.
no subject
[He knows he's lucky. He wouldn't trade his friends for anything.]
Maybe? I would guess if a world had video games they probably have arcades of some sort. But I guess I'll have to see.
no subject
Considering that parts of this world has been revealed to us a little at a time... I am certain that there is still far more that we have not seen yet. Perhaps the arcade will be part of those reveals.
no subject
I think they do. We've been through a lot together.
I hope so! I'm not very good at bowling.
no subject
( That in itself is something she knows from experience. )
no subject
I think this is the longest I've been away from them. I'm used to seeing them everyday

I will not stop until I find a way for those here to return home. That has been my intention since I have first arrived.

Action
Is that you, Sawada-san?
no subject
[Lost in his thoughts, Tsuna hadn't really expected to meet anyone at this time of night. So when he hears his name, he turns, probably a little quicker than he should and there's the sound of a clang as his foot hits a part of the slide. And he might be gripping a railing to keep his balance.]
Ah! Hello, Tokoyami-san!
no subject
[Please don’t fall, Tsuna! But as he approaches, he looks over Tsuna and the playground equipment he’s standing on.]
What are you doing out here?
no subject
[He shrugs, sort of leaning on the railing but sort of not. He's debating if he should use the stairs or go down the slide.]
Kinda missing home. There'd usually be a festival or something around now. My friends and I would go.
no subject
[He moves closer, making his way over to the equipment with the intent of climbing up to join Tsuna.]
What kind of festival would be around this time?
no subject
It was pretty local, but it was a lot of fun.
[Save for when they had to fight thugs to save the stall money. But that was the first time that they fought with Hibari as a team, so it's a precious memory.]
I was just hoping to go with everyone this year.
no subject
...there were summer festivals in my home as well. We would be hosting similar activities... though it's been some time since we had the occasion to host one. I can understand missing it.
[With all the craziness going on in his world, there was hardly any time left for festivals. He did miss the candied apples sometimes sold during them...]
no subject
Yeah...it's a good memory of the summer, since then school starts up again and we're all busy.
I really wanted to see the fireworks with everyone to.
It just makes me wonder if we're ever going to go home.
no subject
Truthfully, I do not know either. Knowing that we have been separated from our friends back home does not bode well for us, and everything we have found so far has led to dead ends. It's... not been easy for any of us.
[He knows that Izuku has not been handling this situation well at all. The poor guy has been an absolute ball of anxiety... And truthfully, Fumikage is at a loss for what to do. It's not like he could just make things better...]
[He pauses for a moment, pondering, before he looks over at Tsuna.]
I'd imagine that, should you look hard enough, there might be a fireworks shop here in the city. Perhaps if you found some... well, I think we could all use a bit of a distraction.
[It wouldn't be much, but it could... be fun?]
no subject
You...think so? I'd kinda like that.
[He has no idea how fireworks work but he's game. There's no way this could go wrong.]
It's been a different than watching them, but I'd like to try. At least get something out of this summer.
no subject
[Which, in a city this large, who knows?]
I think something put together by living, breathing humans, no matter how small the occasion, would be more fun than something this city seems to enjoy conjuring. Perhaps then, it would ease some of the suffering in our hearts...
no subject
Well, considering there's been a small party and then it was trapping us in a bank vault, yeah.
I think we're pretty good at coming up with better ideas to have fun.
And it would be nice to do something for others.
no subject
Perhaps if it is something we put together, there will be more successful. A true revelry in the darkness, unlike the facsimiles crafted here.
[That... is supposed to be supportive. Does it sound supportive?]
no subject
I think that would be a lot of fun. Maybe we can try to find some festival foods to.
Not that I know how to make takoyaki or anything like that.
no subject
Well... I am sure we can figure out how to make some here. Even if we just ask others how.
no subject
I'll remember to check for stuff the next time I go to the grocery store.
