On a professional level:
unless it's an emergency, I'm not currently handling patients at this time
so if you have a general check up or you're worried about a rash or something seek out one of the other doctors
great we've got that squared away
Non-professional question:
what's waiting for you back in your home?
Family, friends, saving the world, a hot date?
just a bit of curiosity on my side
Cheers

This other town was capable of worse?

full of people and animals fucked up by the power of an old god so I had no choice but to defend myself

How so? If you don't object to discussing this topic.

the Old Gods who have fallen out of popularity in the past few centuries
the New Gods who have risen up for the sake of humanity
frankly im a fan of exactly none of them but that's besides the point.
I went to a town named Prehevil on personal business
however, something no one expected was the affect of one of the Old Gods. the Moon God of Trickery, Rher
by his power came about the Termina Festival. a death game with only one winner out of all of the contestants. people would go mad and become deformed, a result known as moonscorching. think of it as like you're bursting from the seams, something inside of you trying to emerge, and the mutation happens.
most of the people who ended up affected lost their minds. you can't cure this condition as far as i know, and if they're intent on killing all you can do is defend yourself. so myself and a few others did what we could to survive.

It's a different world, with different circumstances, but despite the direct involvement of beings termed gods, it ultimately seems as though there must have been something already present within people themselves that reacted to the catalyst triggering this moonscorching phenomenon. It resembles similar induced transformations, by the sound of it. ]
You and the other survivors were unaffected, however. Do you know why the process was selective?

i estimated that the mutations took place some weeks prior to our arrival.
Perhaps if we stayed longer than three days, we could have suffered the same fates.
