Yeah, I honestly don't know why it's called that. Even worse, there's another ball, kinda like the volleyball in the bottom middle, that's used for another game called football, but at least that one makes sense because you actually use your feet for it.

I have heard that brown one called hand-egg as a joke though, maybe there's more to your theory than anyone knows?
