( hope you enjoy the view of.. absolutely nothing.
the video feed is dark with the occasional flash of light. sometimes, there's a peek of green and pink fabrics. other times, it's oleander and foxgloves or larkspur - a veritable garden buried in seafoam green hair. just peeks, nothing more. this continues for quite some time!
if there's sound, it's mostly the rustling of fabric and miscellany of bits and bobs. someone is getting into things again like a nosy little rodent. for anyone who might know her, she's oddly quiet. probably sneaking.
and for those guessing: yes she absolutely started the feed by accident when she tucked her phone... wherever it is on her person currently. you wouldn't scare a poor girl witless by making it sound like you're trapped in her pocket, would you? )

I don't mind.
( to which.. she's going to reach for the ribbon of her bodice?? )
It'll take too long to dry if you go in like that though?
no subject
she isn't embarrassed, but you know, it's just... )
I know. ( she hesitates, but slips her jacket off, first. got to fold it nicely... ) And I'm hardly ashamed of my body. I'm very attractive.
( she was made to be as pleasing to as many people as possible, after all. still, it feels--vulnerable, maybe? perhaps if this was before everything she would be less hesitant, but now that she can die and has no way to defend herself....... )
no subject
You are pretty! I wish more people were as confident as you. It's kinda hot?
( without even a second thought (or the first thought, really) she's already wandered off to the shallow side to sit by the edge with both her hooves in the water to test it out. chilly. )
Were you never taught things you didn't need for your work? That seems kind of sad. All work and no play, and all that.

My position was a difficult one. ( to put it....... politely. she can't just say things like "i was only created to act as an AI assistant and make sure everyone suffered successfully for a so-called good cause" after all. then fearne will have questions, and she's not interested in talking about the past. ) I spent all of my time in my workplace as well, so it isn't as if I could just leave and do anything like this. The most fun I've had is reading.
( she probably had some times she tried having fun and connecting to other people early on too, but... that always ended up in a forced restart, so she just stopped after a while. there was no point.
... ... ...
it'll probably be a problem, so with a little more hesitance she goes as bare as fearne and joins her by the shallow end.
brr. it's cold. being human is inconvenient-- ) I suppose you had a much more free life?

( she kicks the water some, mostly because she wants to further disrupt the stillness of the surface, and she falls thoughtful for a moment. does she even know of professions that require for someone to stay where they worked all the time? without even the smallest bit of time to enjoy themselves?
sounds like a layer of hell she'd rather not know. )
I'd sure say so. ( not many people say no to her? mostly because she does not usually ask. that's pretty free. ) Was never stuck working somewhere, at least. In fact, I don't think my friends and I have stayed for longer than a week anywhere.
no subject
she waits for the cold water to settle the burning in her chest before she speaks. )
I lived where I worked, and it was a full-time job... You could say it was very important that we all stayed there until it was completed. The fate of the world rested on it. ( there is some bitter hatred to the words she can't quite get rid of, and she scraps her tongue against her teeth as if that'll rid her of the acrid taste. ) That was in the past. I can go wherever I'd like now, if I want to. I wouldn't consider being here much of a detriment in that case.
no subject
she expected the anger and bitterness, of course. she's met enough people to know how others wear it, even on someone as well put together as angela. but there's no sense in lying about herself to make it seem as though she's suffered more than she has. there may be comfort to be had in commiseration, but hers was a cage fearne is unfamiliar with. it would do neither of them any good, in the end.
so instead, she tips her head to listen. )
And there were no others who could've done it instead?
( she has an idea by the way she says it, but. )
no subject
yeah, right. )
No. It was my purpose. The only reason I existed... ( ... ) But I decided I wanted to live, and here I am. Free. Alive.
( guilt-ridden. )
The agonies I've endured were worth the freedom I achieved. ( they weren't. ) But that's a little heavy. My apologies.
no subject
Why are you apologizing?
( a small hop, and the chipper faun is well within the waters of the pool. shallow as it may be, it's still nice enough to play around in - especially when one of them does not know how to swim. )
For what it's worth, I'm glad you're here.
( alive, but also at the pool with her, indulging in silly little whims. )
Now that you don't have to work anymore, what other things did you want to try?
no subject
after a brief moment: )
New foods... HamHamPangPang's special sandwiches, pajeon, that meat stew Roland told me about. Games with friends. Trying on clothes at a shop, and letting someone else pick my outfit for me... Something they'd like to see me in. ( that sounds nice. wanting. ) Go to a spa, visit a workshop, check out the hotspots in other Districts of The City.
( that's a lot. there's a lot more, but... )
In summary, an endless amount. I was writing them down as I thought of them in a list back in the Library, and... recently, that list has come into my possession ( thanks, bank? ) so I suppose if there's any I can accomplish here, I'll try to do so.
( ...she crouches to sink further in. this feels nice, actually. )
I'm discovering plenty of new things while I'm here, too, that I'd like to do. ( so she... for that, and other reasons, she's not so pressed about getting back. on the other hand, her library. but also, they know what happens to her library, sort ofβ? ah, she doesn't want to leave this city, actually. she can have friends here. ) You could say my curiosity's quite voracious.
no subject
You found your list? ( huh! ) Well, that's pretty nice of whoever it was that gave it back to you.
( if only she knew. )
It's too bad that this city isn't like any I've ever been in, or I'd probably have a better idea on what sort of things to show you. I felt about the same when I first came to this Plane - so many things are different than what I knew growing up.
no subject
( she doesn't really mean anything by that, but it's just simple fact. they will both be discovering new things about the city at the same time.
plane, though... whats a pl sorry that's a joke there are no airplanes in the city so. )
Where did you grow up?
no subject
The Feywilds! Which I guess is a different.. place than this one? Not quite. I don't really know how it works but it's both a place you can accidentally walk into and somewhere that's very hard to get to. Does that make sense?
no subject
It does, in a way. The Library was... similar enough. ( wellllllllllll once it was closer to the physical plane or whatever, yeah. ) Ordinarily, it's a place you could only get to by invitation, but we've had a few uninvited guests come through our doors since its inception.
( unfortunately. )
Did you leave of your own accord, or did you wander out?
no subject
( maybe a few others. but they're mostly irrelevant to her, )
Um.. A little of both, and a secret third. Directions in there are fairly strange, and I walked a very, very long time before I finally found the gate I needed. I was told to, but I also wanted to. It just worked out that way.
