Reporting to you now live from inside his brocade den is...an off center image of an equally gaudy tiefling. Look, attempts are being made. ]

Hello my dears! I'm sure you're all aware of the carnival that seems to have made itself available to us. Lovely little place. That said, I did notice an sad lack of any sort of fortune tellers, which I think we can all agree is a shame. And so I have gallantly taken it upon myself to fill that unfortunate hole.

[ One hand sweeps out of frame as Molly gives an extravagant bow. You're all welcome. When he straightens up again, he's holding a few tarot cards fanned out, backs to the camera. ]

And, as a special bonus, I'm offering that right here and now, I'll pull a single card for anyone who asks. [ Without him seeming to move at all, two of the cards vanish and the one remaining is now facing the camera. Look closely and you might spot an image of a covered wagon with the word HOME written across the bottom. ]

Fair deal? Only one card, though. If you want more, you'll have to come see me in person~

[ Someone's taken to the idea of advertising quickly. Perhaps also a test to see how well he can cold read through these weird devices? Whomst can say. Look at that sharp-toothed smile, is that the kind of face that would con you? ]

[ heine's not a total skeptic, but he's not a big believer in this kind of thing either. after all, he's only had his tarot read once, and that was unbeknownst to him entirely.

he does turn on his video, because that feels like it'll make things easier. he's seated somewhere in the park, illuminated by the sodium glow of a nearby lamp. ]

[ Molly makes a show of studying him before his hands move out of view. A moment or so later he holds up a card with an image of a moon reflected in water, MIRROR written underneath. ]

Mirror. Something hiding in the shadows being revealed. Perhaps a truth you're not fond of. Unpleasant secrets coming to light?

[ it's not... far off, honestly, although at this point heine's not sure he can classify them as "secrets" per se. not when he's either told or shown them to like half the people he knows in this place.

still, it's on the nose enough to earn a thoughtful hum. ] Seems kinda broad. Doesn't everybody have at least one secret they don't want people to know?

[ maybe that's the point of getting your tarot read, though. that it's broad enough to find your own truth in it regardless. ]

[ If Molly's at all bothered by the giggling it doesn't show. Instead, he just holds up the card with a flourish, a woman in black and white surrounded by chains with the word LOVE underneath. ]

Love. Close relationships, romantic or not, or else some other intense connection. Could be binding, could be freeing, who am I to say?

[ Another overly dramatic shrug. ]

Seems to me you've got a lot of emotions going on.

Mechanics, is it? That's a new one by me.

[ A second later, the card appears, two dragons facing each other one platinum and one red. Beneath is written THE JUDGE. ]

Well now. The Judge. Justice and righteous authority. You do seem quite the righteous type to me. [ This accompanied by a flash of a grin. ] But I'd say something to the effect of taking back control of your life.

That seems a touch ironic in a place like this.

I don't often feel in control, here or anywhere else... Perhaps the cards can sense that in me.

Well then I'd hate to disappoint.

[ The card he flicks into view is of a green skinned man sitting in what looks like a crow's nest with a mass of tentacles and eyes swimming below. Beneath is written THE SKY. ]

The Sky. Safe passage, uninterrupted vision, hm. Seems to me you know exactly where you're going and how to get there, yes? Focused and determined.

I've never seen that one before. The ones I'm used to are constellations, so- I suppose they're kind of all The Sky. But it does sound right, I suppose. [ She leans in closer to the screen as she speaks, trying to get a better look at the card. ] For back home, I mean. I don't think anyone really knows how to get anywhere from here. But I like it. It sounds right. And like it being right is a good thing.

[ She kind of wants to see more of the cards, but she's also happy with the one she got and has no idea if going to get three would overwrite her GOOD CARD. And so- ]

Not sure what you mean, dear. The cards are, hm. A way to interpret the voice of the universe, yeah? [ He gestures with one hand, elegant but uselessly. You know what he means. ] Generally they tell a story, and it's up to your humble guide to explain it to you.
