This might be a silly question. But how do you suppose we should be counting our birthdays here?

I technically should be 19 now, I think.
But if it's Halloween, I'm still a bit away from my birthday, too.

Should I be 18 or 19?

Technically I came from April straight into June and haven’t really thought about it since my birthday isn’t until Spring anyway.

I suppose it's not something a lot of people would care about.
Hopefully we won't have to stay here long enough to have to track it, either, right?

Losing a few months without aging at all was weird.
Thinking about it I don’t think I’ve grown at all since I got here and I don’t know if that’s because I did it all in one go over six months and this is as tall as I’m getting or because we don’t age here…

It is a little, isn't it? Although some people would claim it does not matter much if it's only a few months.

Someone has mentioned before, that we might not age in this place.

Not to be a pessimist but I’ve been here four months already so I’m not sure if we can say how long we might be stuck here.

I guess a good way to gauge it is whether anyone has needed a haircut yet? Because if they have it isn’t totally static at least.

Oh, that's true. I didn't even remember to check since my hair doesn't grow very fast.
Has your hair grown at all?

June. I’ve been trying not to think about it.

I actually haven’t noticed but I did accidentally go too short last time…

It's alright if we don't figure it out.
Hopefully, we won't have to be here long, anyway.
