[Normally, Brook would be perfectly happy to make a video post. It'd just be like his weekly recorded updates for his blog back home. Given the state he's in, though, he doesn't want to risk putting his face on camera. What if he looks as bad as he feels?

ok, i know that for whatever reason, everyone's powers and shit have been weakened since they got here.
but has anybody else been feeling... weird?
like wobbly or your head hurting. or your legs not working right.
or like you have to lie down for a while until your eyes go back to normal.
idk, is this smth else that just happens here like weeds trying to eat you?

((OOC: Brook just hasn't realized that nerfing means he has to eat and sleep now, so he's been wandering around on little more than a Starbucks cake pop and no rest for days. That said, once people help him figure that out, he'll likely react to the thought of eating with disgust. This might hit a little close to disordered eating patterns, so please keep yourself safe if that's a trigger! Brook also has a permissions page with a long list of content warnings and an opt-out form, because I'm the Grim Reaper is a minefield of common triggers, and I don't want to suddenly spring anything unwanted on anyone.))

It has not made me physically ill though. Have you tried speaking with one of the healers who have made themselves known around here?

I would leave that decision up to you. I would guess they are both capable.

Hmm, I'm afraid I didn't take note of names, but I do recall a few making themselves known. I bet if you request someone, they will come to you. Healers always seem like the do-good type, they would hardly be able to say no.

dunno about magic healers tho. we don't have those where i'm from. unless angels exist with that kind of power or something.

I am more familiar with magic healers, though I have not seen one around here, at least not yet. Or they are not revealing themselves. I suppose either is possible.

it's as easy for doctors to sin as anybody else. easier, maybe, bc of how much power they have. people depend on doctors to keep them alive, after all. since everyone needs them so bad, some of them figure out that they can do whatever the hell they want and get away with it.

You are correct, of course, I just do not think that is exclusive to doctors or healers of any sort. If someone wishes to hurt someone, they hardly need to go through all the training it takes to achieve such a vocation.

It matters not though, if you do not want to see one, you do not have to. You may just have to suffer with your symptoms. Have you tried drinking more water or sleeping more? Those have often helped ease various illnesses I have had in the past.

since it looks like even the furnished apartments are mostly empty in this city. no shortage of beds.

I am no healer myself. Even when at full power, that is a magic I did not study, but I know from experience these things tend to help. Food as well, depending on if you are nauseous or not.

The apartments are adequate. You should not have trouble finding somewhere to your tastes.

huh. you'd think with magic, you could just make yourself better without that stuff. how inconvenient that you can't.

I never found the need. I heal quite easily on my own without the need of anything extra. It was rare that I was injured enough to need anything like that.

I admit I don’t know how that works now that I have been… dimmed by this place, but so far I have not yet experienced this inconvenience.

Oh yes, I heal much faster than a human. Though admittedly I am not well versed on how long humans take to heal in general.

Truly? And how long did you say you've been here? I am hardly the only one, though I shouldn't be surprised. Most humans think there are only humans in existence. Likely because you are so far behind when it comes to travel off-realm.

I believe most humans think of them more as planets, though they are not seen in the universe as Midgardians know them.

That is as good a way to put it as any. Most cannot see the other branches of Yggdrasil. I do believe most humans do not even know the tree exists at all, except perhaps in myth.

People where you are from do not return from other realms?

the only way to get to heaven or hell is by dying. you don't typically get a return trip from that.

Ah, I see. So heaven and hell are Valhalla and Hel. They are not the same as the realms to which I am referring. You do not need to die to reach any of the Nine realms. Or at least Valhalla is different. You don’t return from that, but why would one want to?

i guess. angels don't seem to bother much with coming back to earth usually, either, afaik. they've got enough to do in heaven, ig.

Well, it is a bit. I admit it is where those not killed in glorious battle reside after death, but there are tales of people visiting and returning from there. The other realms are easily visited while alive and well.

i'm assuming this place isn't one of them or you wouldn't stay somewhere that takes away your powers or one of your whole senses. this isn't a realm you can come and go to as you like.

That is true. From my experience though, it only seems to be the humans of Midgard that are unaware, and depending on which timeline you are from. Where I am from the information has become known amongst the people of Earth.

Alas, no. This place is completely unknown to me. I sometimes wonder if this is simply a larger pocket dimension we are all trapped in. All I really know is that whatever brought us here is very powerful.
