( the feed starts, and there sits a woman. the nook she'd found this time around is clearly another one of the cafes scattered about, quiet and without all the harsher lights of stark fluorescence. she's made herself quite comfortable from the looks of it, a teapot visible within the framing with a few unused cups overturned by it, as if she's expecting company. there's even has a platter of fruit, a small afterthought of one.
slices of peach, if one were so inclined as to squint.
some have met her already, some know her quite profoundly, but that matters not. she has a question, just as she always does, and she figures a face to the voice would be a little more reassuring than mere text, given what she has in mind. the crowd seems.. skittish. wary. she'd rather they not run too soon before she sates a curiosity.
her tea steeps within reach, and her chin rests on her knuckles as she waits; her voice akin to that of a dirge when she finally parts her lips to speak. )
Indulge me for but a moment.
( oh, she's well aware of the range of how this can be taken. it's quite alright. )
But what would you say is a moment of achievement for you? Big or small. You're free to use whatever criteria suits.
( ah. )
And if you'd rather not have it broadcasted, I'm not hard to find. I'd be pleased for company.

@samsa, video
video, still.
How unfortunate, then, that you find yourself here now. There's a great lack for the infrastructure needed to support the neverending quest for knowledge.
What is it that you were studying, if I might ask?
no subject
I was studying Japanese Literature.

[Well. Almost everyone. But he tries not to think about that.]
also video..
I've the few follow up questions, in that case.
( a raise of her hand, all but her index finger curled in. )
What drove the decision to decline? You mention that it was for the better, but surely they offered for a reason.
( she has a few others, but this is a good start. )

[He says it through a laugh, hand hovering near his mouth]
I was offered the position due to my particularly keen sense of sight. Not the everyday sort, mind, but the ability to see souls and aether--an energy of sorts found in my world--both. Though I suspect the former played a greater role than the latter.
And for my reason to decline: quite frankly, that was all I had. Such a position deserves someone capable of acting upon what they see, I think.

[ It's a very hostile tone coming across the audio—he still doesn't trust the people here, and a broadcasted question like this comes across as either very stupid or very suspicious to him. ]
video.
For myself. I just so happen to enjoy idle chitchat.
( simple as that. )
Participation is left in the hands of those who would respond, one you've easily declined.
Should we not be asking questions? You've asked me plenty of your own.

I've heard it could break the spirits of chefs like no other.
Professional, or do you dabble?

And yet there was expectation that students ought to be prepared enough with books alone.

Unfortunately she has not figured out that her camera is pointed at the ground. It is a lovely view of the park grass and the toe of her boot, at least.]
Let's see... well, recently, I went on a journey! [...] I made it a lot further than I thought I would, so I suppose that's an achievement.
What about you?
video.
A journey made with expectations for your own failure.
( is she ignoring the question posed in return? maybe so. )
A weight you set on yourself, or did another shackle you with it?

...I'd like to know who's asking.

.. I hear it's polite to introduce oneself before asking that of another.
( but, nevertheless, she'll play. see? she's friendly. )
I am who's referred to as Binah.
( not that she expects that to mean anything to anyone. )
Have I earned an answer?

My biggest achievement is .... well, I guess I managed to show enough love to the embodiment of 'control' itself. I think she loves me, too.

That makes almost all of us, then.

So I've heard.
( but, suffice to say, she's yet to meet with quite a number of them. they're not quite as eager to meet with her, but who can really blame them. )
Something to be said about the ties that binds us, perhaps.

How about you? What is your greatest achievement?
[He’s not sure he actually cares, but part of him wants to boast and part of him is curious to know what her answer might be.]

As you can see I play guitar. I do write my own stuff, but this was — I first heard this song on the radio — ( a pause so that eddie can play the first few notes of master of puppets by metallica, though it's perhaps not as impressive as if his guitar were hooked into an amp ) — and I, uh. I think it took me two? Maybe three weeks to figure out how to play it?

Waking a Goddess with music was quite the feat. As was obtaining a family after my death - not many people can say they’ve done that, now, can they?
VIDEO | USERNAME: Binah
( so many questions, and just where to start? )
If you're amenable to it, I hope you'd think of playing for us sometime. I'll admit I'm curious as to what sort might rouse a Goddess from her slumber.
