( the feed starts, and there sits a woman. the nook she'd found this time around is clearly another one of the cafes scattered about, quiet and without all the harsher lights of stark fluorescence. she's made herself quite comfortable from the looks of it, a teapot visible within the framing with a few unused cups overturned by it, as if she's expecting company. there's even has a platter of fruit, a small afterthought of one.

slices of peach, if one were so inclined as to squint.

some have met her already, some know her quite profoundly, but that matters not. she has a question, just as she always does, and she figures a face to the voice would be a little more reassuring than mere text, given what she has in mind. the crowd seems.. skittish. wary. she'd rather they not run too soon before she sates a curiosity.

her tea steeps within reach, and her chin rests on her knuckles as she waits; her voice akin to that of a dirge when she finally parts her lips to speak. )

Indulge me for but a moment.

( oh, she's well aware of the range of how this can be taken. it's quite alright. )

But what would you say is a moment of achievement for you? Big or small. You're free to use whatever criteria suits.

I was able to get into the University I wanted with honours. I was proud of that. [ well, he wouldn't be able to afford university otherwise, hence why the honours were needed. But it's still a very big achievement for him! ]

How unfortunate, then, that you find yourself here now. There's a great lack for the infrastructure needed to support the neverending quest for knowledge.

I was studying Japanese Literature.

Being offered a particular position back home... or so most would say. Personally, I think turning it down was a much finer achievement--and much better for everyone in the end, really.

What drove the decision to decline? You mention that it was for the better, but surely they offered for a reason.

I was offered the position due to my particularly keen sense of sight. Not the everyday sort, mind, but the ability to see souls and aether--an energy of sorts found in my world--both. Though I suspect the former played a greater role than the latter.

And for my reason to decline: quite frankly, that was all I had. Such a position deserves someone capable of acting upon what they see, I think.

My biggest achievement is .... well, I guess I managed to show enough love to the embodiment of 'control' itself. I think she loves me, too.

( when the video cuts in, it shows eddie, all wild hair with a guitar cradled across his lap. there are papers spread across his bed and it looks like he hasn't slept in a while, though he tries to cover this up with a smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes. )

As you can see I play guitar. I do write my own stuff, but this was — I first heard this song on the radio — ( a pause so that eddie can play the first few notes of master of puppets by metallica, though it's perhaps not as impressive as if his guitar were hooked into an amp ) — and I, uh. I think it took me two? Maybe three weeks to figure out how to play it?
