[ Not long after getting to the Welcome Diner and gathering his thoughts, he flips on the device to begin what will surely be one of the hardest things he's ever had to do. He hasn't bothered to clean himself up much but, with Daniel's help, he probably doesn't look like a serial killer anymore. Still, it's obvious the man has been through hell. ]
My name is Ethan Chandler. I-- [ He swallows, then begins again. ]
Last night, something wicked prowled through the streets and attacked several residents. It was me. I don't look as I did last evening and, despite what I said, I can't recall who I encountered or what events took place. I change, you see, when the moon is full. I can't control myself; God knows I've tried.
[ He lets out a sharp exhale, grimacing when it aggravates some of his injuries, but powers through. ]
Ever since my arrival, I've done what I could to make sure I couldn't hurt anyone, taken precautionary measures to restrain myself so this wouldn't happen. But it did. Something happened last night, and I made a mistake that put people here in harm's way. The blame rests entirely upon my shoulders and mine alone.
I'm not deserving of your forgiveness, but I'll ask for it. If you encountered the wolf last evening, please, reach out to me here. The phones are impersonal and I would prefer to extend my apology in person, to look you in the eye when I give it.
[ Now, to another pressing matter: ]
Mr. Gray and Miss Ives were present before and after what happened. I can't contact either one of them. I've tried.

They're inescapable. I've accepted what I am, but it doesn't ever ease the guilt or the memories. [ Alcohol does work wonders, however brief the reprieve might be. ]
If it's a burden, I can contact you the night before.

In any case, simply tell me where I can have the tonic delivered and I'll have it done. And don't worry about the moon cycle tracking, my irritation with that has nothing to do with you, oddly enough as that might sound.

Here, thank you. [ Thankfully someone taught the man from the 1890s how to do something interesting; he drops a pin for him, the location of his apartment in district one. ] Unless something happens here to change it, tracking it shouldn't be a problem. I know it well.
Mr. Hob Gadling was one of the people I attacked last night.

For now, I'll bring you a bottle. It should last you awhile since you only have one night to be worried about, so there is that at least.
...Thank you. I'll address him shortly.

I'm in your debt. Forgive me for making your job difficult here. [ Really, it's the kindest way he can think of to say: Sorry for wolfing out and eating people on your watch. ]
Thank you, Doctor. I've seen the aftermath before, I know they're going to need help.

Do what you can to prevent this in the future and we'll consider it even. The less people I have to mend to, well then consider me a satisfied doctor. [quietly screams on the inside]
Hopefully no one is so foolish as to try to fix themselves. If nothing else, I hope my classes are coming into play here...

Hate to tell you this, but I know quite a few people who would. Classes? [ As one of those said people who would doctor himself up, his interest is piqued. ]

Oh, I completely believe you. [Daan sighs.] I'm running first aid classes during the weekend, to try to prepare everyone as much as possible in case they're stubborn and don't want to come to my clinic.

[ Do you see this face, Doctor? ]
Would you be willing to take on another stubborn student?
