( no video this time... or audio, but you can practically hear the grumble and whine of her complaints anyway if you've met her even the once. )

look for a guy in a red coat and beanie outside
you aint allergic to dogs or anything, are you
[Since he...has one of those now, he might as well ask. Basic socializing achieved? ]
no subject
( basic socializing achieved and a great thing too because? well? dogs are some of the best social lubricants out there??
so no she's not allergic to dogs thankfully. )
i'm on the way
what's their name!
no subject
but i guess we're both takin care of him
his name's kumo
no subject
does he have a favorite snack? i think i hit some of the smaller stores on the way there
( fearne maybe offer the dude something too not just his dog... )
no subject
[no he prefers this tbh, pay no attention to him, only the dog thanks]

( it takes a lil bit of time. but eventually, there WILL be a girl in all her faun glory knocking at his door. she's a little fluffed up, like she shook herself out like a doggy. there's water everywhere out there.
sorry. )
Hellooooooo special delivery!

That said, he does stare for just a few moments too long as she appears in his doorway, very obviously not human. That's a new one for him, even though he knew such people were around.]
Yo.
[He could just take the peanuts and offer the peaches and scuttle back into his antisocial hole, but she probably...wants to play with the dog .... so he steps back and lets her in.]
Peaches're in the fridge, I'll go get Kumo. You can feed him if you want, just not too many at once alright?

Hiya!
( don't worry. she knows to clean off her hooves even if she doesn't get all of it. angela gets mad when she tracks mud all over the bookstore. it's definitely not a perfect job of it but there's an Attempt(tm).
catch this one's audacity to start peeking around for said fridge though. she has no problems with making herself at home apparently, )
I dunno if I've introduced myself yet. I'm Fearne, by the way.

Aragaki.
[Someday he'll tell more people his first name, but not today. Shinjiro waits for her to fetch the peaches at first, then steps closer and speaks up when it's clear she is continuing to Investigate. There's nothing particularly exciting there--simply some tupperware containers of leftovers and some fruits and vegetables. He'll need to go shopping again soon.]
Did you want 'em raw or were you lookin' to cook 'em in something?
no subject
one man's fridge, another man's vault or something.
regardless, peaches in hand, she trots on back. she's already taken a bite out of one. )
I've never tried cooking them before. ( easier, less fuss, less likely to burn with all that sugar. ) What do you usually put them in?
no subject
Just basic stuff. Y'know, sauces, cobbler, pancakes, shit like that.
no subject
Show me one I can help with?
( the audacity is so real with this one. )

[He was so unprepared for this, help. Are you sure you didn't want to play with his dog instead, that seems easier...
After about ten seconds of staring at her like a deer (lol.) in the headlights, he forces himself to shake off his fluster with a sigh and strides over to the counter, setting the peach in a bowl before he goes to fetch a knife and cutting board.
Then, he returns to the fridge, digging around to see if he has any remaining eggs. There's two left in the carton, so he supposes "soon" has now been upgraded to "tomorrow".]
....Alright, pancakes, then. Start by chopping that up. [He points over to the peach by the cutting board.] I'll grab the rest of the stuff.

but, now that she has some instructions, she does at least trot on over to start preparing this peach. if he noticed that every now and then she steals away a piece of a diced fruit, no she didn't. not too many, anyway. she kind of wants to try what it'd be like cooked down and thrown on a pancake.
.......... not that she's been paying much attention at all to the proportions of how things are thrown together. replicating that later is going to be interesting. )
Do you cook a lot?
no subject
He shrugs at the question, cracking an egg into the mixture of flour, baking powder, and sugar. He hands her a whisk, next.]
Every so often, I guess. If you're done with the peach, you wanna stir this whole thing until all the chunks and bumps are smoothed out. Then toss in the peach bits and stir it some more so it's even.
