My lived experience has shown no proof that the common understanding of a deity exists. Though, truthfully, I'm unsure if anything I've experienced disproves it either.

[Not a chance, random stranger.]

Just your average lived experiences really.

Humankind's belief in god(s) in an era without science is understandable. The divine becomes a way to explain the inexplicable. Humankind's continued belief despite scientific advancement begs the question of what need does the existence of a divine creator fulfil that humankind clearly craves?

Certainly. While there are many theories about life after death, it's unfortunately not something that humankind can do adequate studies on this time. Not accurately anyway. The results of near death experiences and those who flatline and are revived seem inconclusive at best.

In my experience, sometimes it's best to just adjust to the fact that you can't know everything and sometimes the joy is in the unknown.
