No festivals.
No fireworks.
No tests of courage.
What a terrible way to spend the summer in a new place. I might die from boredom!
(And yet, it sounds like he's having fun. Don't worry. He'll be fine.)
Why don't we share some tales of the strange and unknown? If we tell enough stories, something interesting might appear~
Let's see... The set up isn't quite right but a hundred stories will probably do.

No, I— No. [ Though the gesture goes unseen, he's giving his head a soft shake. He hasn't heard of that, or anything like that. But the question comes, and perhaps it's an odd one to voice in response to a seemingly innocuous network post. Not to Peter, though. Not when so much hasn't been. ]
Is it safe?

(Oh, there's... a question he definitely wasn't expecting and Peter may be able to catch the quiet surprise and confusion that comes from it. It actually makes him wonder how to answer for a moment,)
My, is that what you're worried about? (Usually people ask if it's scary or fun. No one thinks about safety or real danger. What he settles for his answer is--) I can't recall any stories of people being hurt.
(Which isn't really a solid "yes" or "no.")
Ah, but I've never heard of it being played to completion before, either.

Peter doesn't miss that hint of surprise to the other's voice. Seeking reassurance the way he is, he also doesn't miss that the man doesn't really give any. Not concretely, which makes the swell of anxiety grow in the boy's gut.
He remembers, even if dimly, like it happened to somebody else. Something that was done to completion, something that seemed to call a thing in. Maybe he's projecting here, so freshly torn open by his own horrors back home, but.... the thought of stories of the strange and unknown makes his tissues curl. ]
What if.... what if someone completes it here? What if something bad happens? It— it could make something bad happen.
