[ so, let's talk about the Darkness Devil— that might be the closest thing to be labeled as 'terrifying' in denji's mind, only because it was untouchable. a devil so strong, and it makes sense since fear of the dark is so popular among humans. so, denji speaks of its domain, the corpses they've seen, the eternal darkness, and how helpless everyone was.

he also goes into gruesome details about what it felt like to be killed by it— as if he's speaking from experience. he then ends it with- ]

I'll honestly never make fun of anyone who fears the dark. Like, they have a very good reason for it.

(Oh, a fear of the dark... he understands it. To give it a personification is a fun twist (or so he thinks. if he knew it was real.... well.))

It's natural to be afraid of the dark, especially after you've spent so much time in the light.

(Being in an illuminated world where everything seems out in the open for all to see makes the unknown seem more jarring,)

I personally find it quite relaxing.

[ it's subtle, but you can almost hear the amusement behind his tone now. ]

What a scary name for a scary dude, I'm sure.

He's usually so cool... and then the next, he's like-- (He changes his voice, lowers his town some to speak a little more neutrally, and then in a seriously polite way--) Tsurumaru-dono, what are you doing?

[ he rolled his eyes, half-grinning behind the screen. ]

Come on. He's not your biggest fear. You can't share stories about some polite, pink-haired dude. [ yeah, he decided he has pink hair. ] We need some seriously scary shit!

(He's totally serious! Okay, maybe he isn't his biggest fear but this is the biggest one he's willing to admit to.)
