It's something my abilities are rooted in. I suspect it either doesn't exist or has been greatly reduced here, which is why my abilities no longer work to the extent they should.

But I have a question for you. Have you ever run into a situation where you haven't been able to find an appropriate emoticon to express your emotions?

Most of them. Some of them I can't use at all, though I suspect it has more to do with laws imposed by this city rather than the laws of physics.

Do you ever worry that the other person won't understand what you're trying to convey? Some of the little faces are a little hard to discern sometimes.

I was just curious. It's like a whole new language you're speaking. Or 'writing' would be more accurate, I suppose. It must have its own unspoken rules to follow.

I suppose you're right about that, but languages do tend to take on a few similar patterns regardless of where they originate.
