[ The first is in what would be considered Earth English, the second is what would be known as Japanese written in Romaji, but he's called it "Laterano-ji Higashinese". The third was written in Japanese, the fourth was written in some rather poor Chinese. He's called the languages themselves clearly incorrect names. What's more important, though, is that only the second one should parse as phonetic, and should only be understandable to fellow Japanese speakers. The rest are in whatever language is most understandable to whoever reads it. Funny, huh? This city sure is strange! ]

You'll have to forgive me for continuing to find your perspective very kind, although that says more about my circumstances than it does yours, at this point.

I truly am all right with where I am, though. Outside of self-improvement, there's really no need for my decisions to have any bearing on anyone. Save those who care for me, I suppose. I do appreciate your kind words, though. You should give them to someone who experiences a tiny bit less doubt than I'm accustomed to.

Who's to say? I've precious friends where I'm from, but I've been gifted with the company of lovely people here, too. I think I should go back, but perhaps I'll have more reasons to stay if you ask again in a month.

We are in agreement. There are many kind people. It has not only what I have been able to learn here, but those who I have met that has made being here an enriching experience.

Still, it would be a lie to say that... there are many things that feel odd, too.

This city has no prior history or residents beyond us -- and when things are revealed to us.... It almost feels as though it is done carefully.

Ah, thought you might have meant the strangeness of present company, not the strangeness that currently surrounds us. Apologies, it was just rather self-evident. I tend to take these things as they come, it's true, but I can't deny that this place does a bit too much to reassure us of its own banality.
