no, nothing that advanced. i figure it's only a matter of time before some rich guy builds the first one for himself, though. people are definitely thinking about the concept.

well, it was new year's day 2029 the last i checked. so that's not too far away. uh, for someone else and not me.

uh, 2029. i have no idea what year it's supposed to be here, but some guy i met thought it was earlier than '29, based on the tech. i guess he had a point... i'm not really into old school tech, so i can't give you a good ballpark.

Quantum brainwaves. They can enable telepathic communication, among other things.

[God, it's always quantum, isn't it. He desperately wants to know what "other things" is, but quantum-brainwaves-telepathy is so on the nose that he's stuck on it for a second. He's... not relieved, because that implies he isn't immediately full of dread, but - centered, maybe.

cool. next question: is that how your psychic powers... uh, travel? like it's a medium, i guess?

If that's a factor, I don't know. There's a lot I don't understand. I know that quantum brainwaves interact with other quantum brainwaves.

But there's something called GN particles. In high concentrations, they can create a field where thoughts and feelings are transmitted to others without barriers, whether or not you have the capacity to use those brainwaves naturally.

that sounds about right. not sure about the particles, but the function is the same, so - i get it.

uh, i can do that, too. use the field to pass information. it's been a while... i do something else now, but i don't think it's working anymore.

The city may be capable of suppressing these abilities. I haven't sensed anything yet. Not the way I used to.
