[Now, Junpei is fairly certain they're all here for some kind of fucked up death game, because why wouldn't the third time be the charm!!— but until some mysterious costumed weirdo starts getting on all the screens and making announcements, there's not that much to go on. He can skulk around town glowering suspiciously at things for long so long.

Sooooo.]

if anybody wants my vote, it's t minus however the hell long before we all start killing each other. would love to be wrong, but if i live long enough to say i told you so, yknow. yippee.

why do *you* think we're here? wrong answers only. top 3 by popular vote get a prize.

[Does he have a prize to hand out... No, no he does not. He will find some cheap garbage in one of the shops and write a 1ST/2ND/3RD PLACE on it, no problem. Eventually. Maybe even a sticker.]

[ Balthier is struggling because he can only make his bouts of deep cynicism sound charming in person. His life is hard. ]

Proper caution is rarer than I'd like to see.

Any progress on that little code name of yours?

There's little to stop you from assuming any particular pseudonym in your other interactions. Even if you did so from person to person or by the day of the week, who could gainsay you?

Alas, it would do little good if your personal dramatis personae escaped you.

If not constructing elaborate alternate identities, just what are looking to do? I find myself curious as to what strategy you might employ given our circumstances.

So we've a few steps to fill out between our present state getting our captor by the throat.

I quite agree that might be a start of a lead. Have you any familiarity with the scope of the technology hereabouts?

There are divergences from where I hail. Oughtn't take long to get caught up to speed well enough to be practical.

Not so much that I can't sort out an interface so clearly designed to be accessible, yet far more than I like.

It appears driven by differing natural resources and conditions. We largely moved on from electricity to using magicite long before developing certain sophistications present here, and instead lean on the unique qualities of the stones.
