This might be a silly question. But how do you suppose we should be counting our birthdays here?
I technically should be 19 now, I think.
But if it's Halloween, I'm still a bit away from my birthday, too.
Should I be 18 or 19?

But it sucks to be here alone
At least there's a couple places that seem.... safe to hang out at? I think
Have you been to the bowling alley yet? Or the mall?
[ Peter.... was actually reclusively hiding away when the Mall Debacle happened, and so he thinks it's fine! ]

You shouldn't visit the mall.
The last time I was there, the doors locked us in and we were chased by things. Dangerous things.

Shit
I didn't know that. That's fucking terrifying
I've been hanging out there there recently and it seemed okay, so maybe the bad shit's moved on somewhere else?? idk but
Fuck this place

Things like this seem to happen once every month, right?
I never came back, now that I think about it.
I'm glad nothing happened to you, though.

Seems like when a new place opens up, it comes with a fun surprise
""fun""
But yeah, nothing bad's happened since I've been there. Just a little spooky since it's so deserted. I guess most people are steering clear now
But if you ever want to hit up the arcade, no lines

But maybe just staying away from those new places is best. At first, at least.
More people keep arriving, so maybe it won't be so empty for very long.
And I guess that's true/ You never have to wait in line for anything which is good :)

[ Or do... something worse... But Peter's trying not to be such a Gloomy Gus, here. And although he's pretty shy about reaching out, there's something in him that thinks maybe he should, to this fellow young person who's asked about birthdays. A few people have reached out to him, and... it's nice. ]
If you ever want to check it out, let me know and I can show you the best spots?
There's a whole foodcourt and everything. The pretzels are really good. AND they even have cheese dip
no subject
Oh, are you sure? I don't want to be a bother and if you are busy, I can go on my own.[ kaneki is always worried he is bothering people even when they are the ones inviting ]

It'd actually be nice to have some more people around to hang out there with
[ Thinking you're bothering someone is definitely also a Peter Graham worry, and hearing someone else voice concern about it...? Just makes him all the more sincere about wanting to make sure the other teen knows it's not true.
...Which leads him to use a smiley face of his own! It's rare for Peter's gloomy self. He means it right now, though. ]
We should definitely go some time :)

Yes. Yeah, we should.
Whenever you'd like, I'm never too busy here after all.

Maybe we can go on a weekend or something
[ There's something more fun about hanging out at the mall on a Saturday or something. Kind of feels like back when he used to actually do that kind of thing with his friends back home, gives it some normalcy.
Peter also... knows he'll need to wait and make sure he's having one of his Good Days, that it's not one of those times he's all whacked out and weird. Maybe if he gets a good night rest beforehand, or asks Vanessa to help his mind get calmed down... ]

That sounds good.
If the mall isn't very interesting, we can also try the bowling alley. I have tried it once before and it was fun.

Sometimes when I can't sleep I like to hang out there
Nothing like nacho cheese and neon lights at 3AM to make insomnia a lot more fun
But yeah for sure, I'm glad to have a couple options in this Hell World
Looking forward to meeting you, dude
no subject
Yes, me too.
I will see you soon, Graham-san.
