I concur.

The questions asked of me were both... strange and seemingly irrelevant, yet I wasn't allowed to leave the station without answering them. Clearly they must have had some importance, unless this is someone's idea of a grand cosmic joke.

If there is some importance, then I have failed to find it. Except maybe they use that information to torture us further. That is always possible.
