What is the singular fact about this city and/or our presumed hosts you wish someone had told you upon your arrival?

That depends on who you ask.

A world of darkness filled with daemons... it certainly sounds that way, doesn't it?

I guess... but does that mean you're dead? Or are you one of them?

Not yet.

And until I become a daemon myself, I will spend my every waking moment hunting them.

...Right. That makes sense.

[That's the first thing anyone's said to him in response to demons (or daemons with an A, as it may be) that's made sense since he got here. It still feels like something drops into a pit in his chest, cold and dark and echoey.]

Board games aren't terribly enjoyable when you can't see the board.

I'm afraid that wouldn't make much of a difference for me.

Fine, I guess. Some things are annoying. But it's not really worse than where I'm from.

You're not the first person to have said that. In terms of general safety and basic amenities... here is better, but at least back home I knew who and what I was fighting against.

Mmm... I don't really know what most people do to fill their time here. Some are looking for a way out or a way to figure out what's going on here. There's the Welcome Diner and the Bookstore where people work, and some guy's making a host club... Honestly, I think people mostly probably just talk to one another. And keep each other safe when something weird happens.
