What kind of food is usually served at a gala?
no subject
Generally, something portioned to be easy to eat while moving around the space. Something on skewers, maybe, or in individual bite-sized servings.
no subject
So something like street food. Easy enough to make.

I'm glad to hear you're up to the challenge. Can I have an example of what you've got in mind?

[ Though, honestly, if he had to pick between his actualβwell, he wouldn't call them family. But if he had to pick between them and Alhaitham, he'd take Alhaitham in a heartbeat. ]
Meat and vegetable skewers, sandwiches, and seafood balls are some of the savoury foods I'm thinking. For sweets, I could make dango, madeleines, or candied nuts.
Have any particular suggestions?

Honestly, they all sound good. I admit I'm not generally one for seafood, but that doesn't mean others wouldn't be. What are dango? I...think I know, but I want to be certain.

It's a rice dumpling, usually served on skewers with a sweet sauce poured over it.
no subject
And that sounds good. I suspect it would be a big hit among the attendees.

[ Not that he's familiar with Alhaitham enough to know how he speaks or writes, but it sounds like something the Scribe would say. ]
Am I the only one working on food, or have you got others?
no subject
Thus far I've had a few volunteers for food. And I'm too familiar with the idiom "too many cooks in one kitchen" to think it's a good idea to have all of you try to work together and produce a reasonable result. Rotating the same prep station seems like a nightmare of logistics, as well...maybe we can give you all individual stations?

Do you need a map pin of where to go?

When should I show up?
no subject
But either way, no later than a week before this thing actually goes off.
no subject
[ He can be particular about how the kitchen is arranged, but it'll be easier to figure out once the space is open. ]
