[Daan's voice sounds both irritated and cold.]
An item of mine is missing, and I need it back in my hands. So if you have seen it, inform me as soon as you are able.
It is a ghastly looking book that is leatherbound. The outside doesn't have any manner of labels on it, but it is a tome that was penned by someone from my world named Enki.
Whoever took this and can hear me, know that I will look the other away if you return it immediately. I shouldn't have to educate someone that there's no point in stealing from each other while we're all stuck in this place.

[ It sounds distinctive, at least. ]

I made the improper assumption no one would go in there without explicit instruction to do so.

I realize that these must be odd questions to ask. The reason why they occurred to me is simply the objective of the experiments conducted here, as well as a number of unusual deliveries.
In any case, if I come across it, I'll contact you.

Thank you. I don't necessarily miss the damned thing, but it's better if no one has it.

[ That team of researchers suddenly delivering items such as drugs and weapons and dangerous tomes to their test subjects seems cause for concern, however. Searching every person who has recently entered Daan's apartment would also risk discord. ]
How likely is it that someone who reads the book would be able to misuse its contents?

[There's a heavy sigh.]
...I'm gonna say pretty highly likely. The book itself bears no power, but it offers some detailed instructions on how to use power, if that makes sense. Which is incredibly dangerous. Particularly, I think it'd be dangerous to the user, especially since they don't know what the fuck they're dealing with.
I don't know how many times I have to emphasize the gods of my world aren't benevolent.
