Does anyone know how to beat the Fire Sanctuary in Recorder of Chronology?
I'm stuck.
Also does anyone else's game glitch out when you enter the temple? I keep seeing weird shadow pixels that kinda look like people. But there shouldn't be NPCs in this dungeon.

What in the world are you talking about?
I’ve been sitting here for an age trying to translate what you’re saying, and I’m sorry to say I’ve fallen miserably short. Fire Sanctuary, Recorder of Chronology, glitch, NPC?? I don’t know any of these words. The only word I understood was dungeon.

The game's called Recorder of Chronology, and you play as this hero who has to go around to different Sanctuaries and get items.
NPC stands for Non-Player Character, and glitches are things that happen in games sometimes. Like if you input something too fast or try to do too many things.

I’ve seen the machines and the games cartridges in the store, but I’m quite unfamiliar with their use, you see. I have a walkman, but the computer still puzzles me to this day. These video games are similar, are they? A game played on a screen via controls?
I must admit, I’m surprised to find they have stories. But I’m not so surprised to hear they aren’t entirely right. Apparently, nothing in that store is quite the same as it is in our own worlds. I can’t find hide nor hair of my book, for example, and it’s an international bestseller.

But yeah, that's pretty much it! A lot of the ones that I've found here don't, or have really simple stories because they all seem like pretty old games. Or based off of old games. Recorder of Chronology is probably the most recent one that I've found, at least, in terms of what I know. And it's definitely weirder than the one from home.
There are some from my world though. A friend of mine found a book by an author he likes.

[ Buddy.... ]
Did he? Curious. I haven't found a single one I'm familiar with. There are detective stories, yes, and even a few tales of the supernatural that feel almost right, but are missing critical details or are altered in such a way that they are almost unrecognisable. What I wouldn't give for a little Sam Spade paperback.

They don't have to be that bulky. Most of the ones I'm familiar with are pretty compact.
It's like that with the video games to. They're close, but not quite what I expect. But it's also been kinda fun since it is a whole new story.

I wonder if the powers that be here took the inspiration from your mind? We know already that our thoughts and memories are hardly our own in this place, after all. How does it feel to comprehend the possibility that this game you’re playing was put into circulation only because you enjoy something similar to it?

Gotta admit that it doesn't feel great. I mean, I guess it's still nice of them, but also they could have just asked.
Though, it does make me wonder why they did a bunch of older games? And not like, newer ones. A lot of this stuff feels like it's from years ago for me. Like they'd be called retro where I'm from.

[He hopes. And well, when you're kind of desperate.]

The screen gets real weird every time you enter a dungeon and it takes a minute to sort itself out.

can that cause a glitch?
