oh yeah heads up
ive heard from certain people who committed this themselves and
apparently if you kill someone here
you get your memories wiped of the incident altogether
not sure why they'd go out of their way to do that here but they do this sort of thing where im from all the time so im very used to seeing it
probably can't say the same for other people from other worlds so you guys have to educate me on that
so uhh
im not saying you should or shouldn't kill altogether
im not your mom
but just keep that in mind the next time you got some kinda murderous urge or something
the reason why im anonymous right now is bc i don't wanna reveal who did that in the first place
it might lead to some awkward icebreakers on their part
also i wouldn't lie about something like this if anyone's wondering bc i got no time to waste on leading people on
but this is probably the worst thing any newcomer would wanna see, huh
whoops
well... welcome to this city, i guess
( ooc: feel free to threadjack and craft theories! kromer/@gripper will also be answering questions about things she knows as a victim as well. )

and why's that?

Considering you find it oddly improbable to go one's life without killing another, would I be correct in assuming that isn't the case for yourself?
no subject
where im from, we gotta learn how to defend ourselves in case someone were to assault us out of nowhere
so i guess you could say im confident enough with any weapon they give me
hopefully this kind of thing won't happen again but
mmm
maybe someone like you should learn how to fight back just in case

[He finds it a hollow statement even as he writes it. It's not that he doesn't feel sympathy for this anonymous soul, but it feels almost impossible to relate. "Barbaric" is such a cruel word and yet... it's the only description that comes to mind.
For what it's worth, he does feel a bit guilty for thinking that way.]
I am quite skilled with a bow. The problem is that I'm having even more trouble creating one than usual. I have a feeling it might be better to simply find one somewhere out there instead.

just how genuine is this guy, anyway? he probably has it way better than roland, but you could apply that to every other person who came from other worlds.
horrible. ]

can't really help that some worlds just suck
but that's that and this is this
i've been looking for weapons myself but they don't have places that actually sell them
but you can make a makeshift bow if you got the materials
pretty sure you can get them anywhere here

[There's a pause in his already fairly slow responses (typing on brand new technology is hard!)]
Now isn't this a novelty! I've absolutely no confidence whatsoever in the result, but the process should prove to be most enlightening. You're certain the materials for a bowstring should be easy to find?
no subject
that one's kinda hard
you're gonna want a sturdy one
the string shouldn't be too stretchy because the power comes from the wood you're using and not the string itself
that said it'd be pretty hard to find one that's suitable so you might want to try all sorts of material before you can get one that's... passable enough, i guess?
like a hemp cord
or a fishing line
these are just my suggestions though
i usually get my weaponry through workshops and they know their stuff way better than i do

Ah, and limited or no, the advice is appreciated. And should my efforts prove even moderately successful, I will be glad to share them by way of thanks.
