[ There's a blur of color and too-bright fluorescent lights before the camera stops abruptly in front of the frozen food aisle of a grocery store. ]

See that? [ She probably means the frankly alarming amount of eggo waffles, zooming in on a few boxes for emphasis. ] They keep getting restocked somehow. [ And she's taken a lot. So she'd actually know.

Switching the camera view, Sylvie's face fills the screen. She looks awfully stern, like she's about to launch into theorizing or even a warning about the validity of the food. But she doesn't. Instead, inexplicably: ]

All of those are mine—even the ones that aren't there yet. [ ... she's serious. ] Fight me if you want, but I call dibs.

[ That's ... wow. Not what she was expecting, but kind of weirdly charming? She doesn't get challenged like this often. Usually it's way less theatrical.

Sylvie smirks. ]

Fine by me. What's your weapon of choice?

Lance! But given I have not found a worthy replacement for mine, as the shops are bare of such things, I have become quite fond of other lengthy weapons such as umbrellas!

[ stabby stab. ]

Nice. [ She does, in fact, sound approving. A lance is a fun weapon. ] I grabbed a fire extinguisher, but it doesn't have the right swing, you know? Umbrella sounds better. I'll see what I can find here.

[ oooh, a fire extinguisher -- don nods her own approval, and understanding. ]

The heft is not in the right place, for me. [ she gets it. ] My name is Don Quixote! And what is thine, o'foe of mine?

I never used a lance before, but it sounds like it'd be heavy. [ She wants to try it now. ] Name's Sylvie. I'll be here whenever you're ready to throw down.

[ what an amicable villain she is. very different than the ones she's faced thus far. but a villain nonetheless, and therefore she must be punished. fought and then given community service (handing out eggo waffles).

[ nonetheless, the valiant don quixote will find where her foe stands, spying her through the aisles, and skid in with her banged up golden boots brandishing her umbrella in hand!!! it has baby chicks on it. ]

Don Quixote has arrived! Thou shall pay dearly for withholding food from those who wish to eat it themselves! Draw thy chosen weapon or forfeit whilst thy legs afford thee the chance to stand, villain!

[ ... for the record, however tall sylvie is, don quixote is most assuredly shorter!!! she's 5'4"!!! ]
