[ There's a blur of color and too-bright fluorescent lights before the camera stops abruptly in front of the frozen food aisle of a grocery store. ]

See that? [ She probably means the frankly alarming amount of eggo waffles, zooming in on a few boxes for emphasis. ] They keep getting restocked somehow. [ And she's taken a lot. So she'd actually know.

Switching the camera view, Sylvie's face fills the screen. She looks awfully stern, like she's about to launch into theorizing or even a warning about the validity of the food. But she doesn't. Instead, inexplicably: ]

All of those are mine—even the ones that aren't there yet. [ ... she's serious. ] Fight me if you want, but I call dibs.

[Miu appears lounging sideways on a chair, legs hanging over one arm. She's got some closed nail polish balanced on her stomach and she keeps critically eyeing her nails as she speaks]

Yeah, people are being murdered, but we apparently come back so it's whatever. Explains why there's no ghosts around here, which honestly has led to the soundest sleep I've gotten in years. Can't complain about that.

Anyway the important thing is that with no one here, I haven't been able to get my hair or nails done in way too long. Does anyone know how to do nails?

[She holds out her hand to present her nails for emphasis; her nails have plain nail polish on it and she doesn't look really happy with it. She pulls back and looks down at them herself, heaving a sigh]

This place is so boring... What are you supposed to do for fun here? Aside from murder, apparently. [She rolls her eyes, her tone sarcastic. Gosh, murder, sooo original.]

But important things first: I need my nails done.

As I am sure it is true for any of you reading this, since my arrival here I have been trying to think of new ways to figure out what is happening, why we are here and how we might be able to leave. The last one most prominently. The best idea I have had, and here I must give credit to one Abe no Seimei as we did come up with this together, but we would like to investigate the tunnels the trains arrive on. If there is one thing that seems evident about this place, it is that we all arrive on these trains and though they will not take us back the way we came, the trains still must enter the city through these tunnels. We will be investigating this possibility, but it occurred to us both that the more we have checking out the area, the better. At this time we would like to see if there was anyone else interested in checking out the tunnels. We think it is likely best to go in small groups, but not alone. Alone never works out well in situations like these, but a number of smaller groups would provide protection and gives us a wider range of possibly finding out a way to leave. Please let me know here if you are interested in doing this so we can converse afterwards to go over any information we may have discovered. Thank you in advance.
