Hello, this is Kaneki. [ he is always going to introduce himself and say who he is because he never did social media before. kaneki is awkward like that ] I hope everyone is alright after what happened.

I have been realizing that despite me coming from a version of Earth, my version is different. All Earths are very different from each other. Did your Earth have another sentient species besides humans? I wonder if that's an exception or the norm.


On an unrelated note, I had the idea of sharing stories. Since there are no written books in this place, we could sit down and tell each other stories we know, or even stories we make up. Like... a book club, but instead it's a story club.


There would be snacks, of course. I can bring and make coffee.

Nah, I don't care. It's not like I have anything to hide-- and even if I did, this city would probably try to drag it out at some point.

So I'm getting ahead of it and just letting people know.

But I get it, even if it's a bit like, depressing?? Some other worlds sound SO cool and mine's SO boring in comparison.

There are no such things as spirits in mine. I suppose it's more boring, then?

It's like, in some ways hearing some of the crap these other worlds have, I'm sooo glad it's boring. Like, apocalypses? Or superheroes?? Sounds like way more trouble than it's worth, you know? Sounds cool when you're comparing it-- "Well MY world has dinosaurs roaming all over and we fly with jetpacks!"-- but can you imagine actually living in it? What a pain.

Still wish I had cool super powers though. My abilities are super lame in comparison.

I suppose that is true. I personally would like to lead an uneventful life, myself. But then I ended up here, somehow.

Do you have abilities?

I do. I can see and speak to ghosts, and if I touch a spirit or a body I can experience how they died first-hand. Their last thoughts, feelings, etc. If I touch someone I can read their thoughts and emotions.

It's a pain in the ass.

Are there spirits or ghosts here?

No. I'm very plain. [ except he is not but he can't say it ]

There aren't! Which is the weirdest thing. No spirits, no ghosts, not even any dead bodies. If you die here you just wake up on the train again, so why is there even a graveyard??

It's so weird.

There are no bodies at the graveyard?


How did people find out about dying, though?

Not a one.

Oh, yeah, I don't remember who now, but some girl got herself killed here. I think she egged the other person on? I don't know the details.

Either way she woke up the next day on the train with no memory of the death. She knew she'd been killed, but nothing more than that. So we found out pretty quickly it doesn't last.

That sounds scary. I hope people aren't doing those things just to try things out.

Are there any consequences to it?

Not as far as I know.

A total loss of memory of the death itself, which seems more a blessing than a curse.

Yes, I agree. I'd rather not remember as well.
