Hello, this is Kaneki. [ he is always going to introduce himself and say who he is because he never did social media before. kaneki is awkward like that ] I hope everyone is alright after what happened.

I have been realizing that despite me coming from a version of Earth, my version is different. All Earths are very different from each other. Did your Earth have another sentient species besides humans? I wonder if that's an exception or the norm.


On an unrelated note, I had the idea of sharing stories. Since there are no written books in this place, we could sit down and tell each other stories we know, or even stories we make up. Like... a book club, but instead it's a story club.


There would be snacks, of course. I can bring and make coffee.

I’m afraid I have no idea what is normal for Earth, though seeing as in my time they have just discovered other planets have life, I would suspect they are unaware. Though I believe some are intelligent enough to recognize that animals are sentient, even if they do not speak the same language.

I am interested in your story telling idea. Without books, it is likely the next best thing.

I think humans hold themselves as the ultimate sentient species. Even I thought others would just be too different from me, once.

Yes, I agree. I haven't found any written books here, so we can try to make our own stories. or share the ones we already know.

I'm still not sure where we can meet to do that, but there are many empty places, after all.

So I guess there's a difference enough. Who knows if other yokai are real or not in my world, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were, given my situation.

I've heard of other worlds with yokai, as well. In mine, there were only stories.

I've taken an interest in your idea for a story club, I probably won't be the first to say that it is highly appreciated given the lack of literature in this city. I am certain it would provide great entertainment for anyone that joins you, although I do have a question regarding your proposal. Must everyone attending the meeting of the story club provide a tale to share; mostly I am asking because admittedly I wouldn't have anything to contribute aside from my absolute attention. But I can certainly aid you in bringing in snacks.

Have you had any interest in your story club so far? It's an intriguing idea and I would be interested in taking part... but you'll find people are sometimes a little resistant to feign interest in any story that doesn't fit their specific needs, at least if the publishing market is anything to go by. And critics can be very harsh.

As for your other question: Vampires. I've also met those with psychic powers, and witches.

And ghosts, I suppose, though I have only heard of their existence and never seen them with my own eyes, so their claims could very well be a product of some other ability. What have you seen besides humans in your world?

yes, I had. I think a lot of people miss books.

But anyone is welcome to leave if they don't wish to hear the story. Perhaps next time they can share one they enjoy, instead. However, the idea is for us to enjoy ourselves, so I'll probably ask everyone to be kind to each other.
