[ Though the video feed may be started with Daniel’s username, it seems like the man isn’t the only person visible when the message starts. Robby is right there next to him, the man with a friendly smile on his face and the boy smiling, though not as brightly. ]

Hello, everyone! As I’m sure many of you have experienced yourself, suddenly arriving in this place on the train can be more than a little disorienting. And though many people here are incredibly kind and willing to help, Robby and I thought that it would also be nice to have a place where new people can be directed to in order to get some information, a warm welcome, and some equally warm food. So we’re planning on clearing out a space somewhere near the main train station to turn it into a welcome diner of sorts.

We know people are arranging clubs and have regular meet-ups, [ speaks up Robby this time, ] so we thought they'd be a good place to advertise them. Let them know who's running clinics, who to ask about the kiosk or the city. Share what's happened here, too.

[ There's the faintest shift in Robby's tone at the mention of that, but he quickly adds: ] Oh, yeah, and we know there's been talk about how supplies are doing. The food's gonna be packaged and good to take out if people want it–if you wanna help with recipes, or help out with the idea in general, let us know.

[ Daniel is definitely smiling like a proud dad sensei the entire time he’s listening to the boy speak. Please don’t mind a man being very embarrassing, even ruffling his hair once Robby is done speaking. The highest form of humiliation a teenager can suffer. ]

Really, Robby deserves all the credit. He really does always have the best ideas. Everyone, make sure to befriend him, alright?

[ There's a very teenage huff from behind Robby, and the video feed is moving as: ] Okay, I think we're done.

[ Yes, that's Robby reaching for the phone to end the post. Freedom!!!! ]

[ It's probably better not to ask at this point, is it. It's like Mike's furniture store all over again.. ]

Don't you need material though? Or is there a hardware store around already? [ Look, Daniel has been hesitant to go back to the mall for.. probably obvious reasons. He probably isn't the only one. ]

Not a hardware store, no...

[ Though there is someone who has cobbled together some sort of building design store. Having a store that supplies fresh lumber the way groceries are restocked would be nice though, as well as his own tools. ]

If I'm allowed to deconstruct things and remake them without it being undone it would be fine though.

Well, we've been able to redecorate apartments.. [ Without them necessarily reverting right away.

So hopefully this would be fine too? You can never be sure in this city though.. ]

We're hoping to basically strip an entire existing shop for this diner, so hopefully a change that big will manage to stick, refurbished furniture included. This city has got to let us have at least one nice thing, right?

[ One can hope, and it does seem like people remaking things to suit their own needs has been fine so far, so... ]

[ They can at least try, right? Surely the city wouldn't be handing out punishments for just trying to do something like this.. Or so Daniel hopes, anyway.

Which means the worst case outcome is just that Broca's efforts turn out to be for nothing if everything would revert in the morning. Which just means they should start out with small tests.

[ Most of Broca's efforts here have been wasted so far. What's one more, really? If anything it'll feel nice to have something productive he can focus on, even if his efforts don't amount to much. It's better than how he fills most of his time.

What throws him for a loop is the follow up comment about him being a good person. It's not like he's the worst person he knows or anything either, but... ]

I wouldn't call myself that.

[ He was a former mafioso. It's not like he's a clean handed innocent here. Being comparatively better than some doesn't amount for much. ]

[ Daniel lets out a huff of breath - it almost sounds like a laugh, really. ]

You wouldn't be the first person who's replied that way to me saying that. [ FAR FROM IT, REALLY.. Daniel is getting so used to it by now. No one in this city can accept a compliment, apparently.

[ Look, Daniel. A lot of them have shady criminal pasts and blood on their hands. These things happen a lot in anime land, so it can't really be helped.

Broca isn't wont to argue these kind of back and forth cases though, so he hums skeptically, his ears pressing back some. ]

[ That he does at least mean sincerely, even if he isn't so sure about Daniel's power of assessment himself. ]

This is the expression of a man who's a little smug over the lack of verbal rejection going on here. Is it possible to be a little smug over forcing someone to accept a compliment? Apparently it sure is. ]

[ Oh, it's certainly possible. The company he works for is large and tends to attract some interesting characters, so it's not exactly the first time he's seen something along those lines. Doesn't make him any more impressed looking by Daniel's smug look at that.
