[ when the video settles into focus, prompto almost looks nervous. there's the slight shift of his weight from foot to foot, clearing his throat once and squinting to – ] 

Is it on? [ clearly, he's talking to himself. ] Okay, okay. Hey, City dudes, it's your guy Prompto coming at you live from, uh... [ he glances around quickly before shrugging. ] City Central, I guess? Anyway —

Figured it'd be good to do a check-in with everyone. See how things are goin' and all that. And as someone who sort of recently celebrated a birthday, I was wonderin' if there's anyone else expecting to do that while they're here. If ya are, maybe we could make a day of it! [ he smiles. ] Orrr, I dunno. Just do something fun? Even if it's small or whatever. 

[ with that out of the way, he gets closer to the camera and plops down on the ground, reaching out to bring the shot closer. ] 

Oh! And if you just wanna hang out, hit me up. I'm always lookin' for stuff to do since it's super quiet around here for, um, the most part. [ and with a casual throw of his hand in a v-sign, he ends the video. ]

( Most of the evidence of Eddie's run-in with the mutant bats from hell is covered underneath a long-sleeved shirt. Of course, he's self-conscious of his scars, but hey, at least he's still standing. Or lounging on his bed while recording this. )

I guess it could be worse, yeah? ( He tries to project a half-smile, but it probably comes across more like he's moping. Which, to be fair, tends to be his baseline these days. )

Sounds like a cool guy, though. I'm not bad at darts, either. I wouldn't mind giving it a shot if we found a place to play.

[ maybe they could swap horror stories some time. prompto's even got some pictures to back them up! ]

Totally could be worse. [ prompto's smile is genuine, at the very least. ] But yeah. He's alright for a prince. [ there's a fond laugh. ] I've got a board set up at my place, but we could find somewhere that might have food and stuff? Make a whole thing of it.

[ seems like this guy could use a pick-me-up. ]

( If there's one thing Eddie is good at, it's a dramatic re-telling, he would be all for that! )

A prince? ( Eddie's eyes widen at that. Between meeting tieflings and finding out Tiamat and Vecna might actually be legitimate beings in other worlds and now finding out Prompto's friend is a prince, he's having his mind blown. )

Shit that sounds good, though. I could really go for that. I feel like most of my time here has been spent waiting for the next freaky thing to happen.

Yeah! Long story though. Or, well. Not so much long as it is complicated?

[ he shrugs, not having thought too much about it. prompto has long since gotten over the fact his best friend is a prince and he's basically nobody. ]

Oh man. Just thinkin' about that gives me the heebie jeebies. Lemme send you my addy, and I'll meet you out front? We can go from there and find a chill place to do whatever besides wonder what else is gonna happen.

That sounds great! I'll try not to get lost on my way to yours. You'd think I'd get the lay of the land by now, but, hah, it's surprisingly annoying to navigate a city that doesn't seem to make all that much sense.
