[Miu appears lounging sideways on a chair, legs hanging over one arm. She's got some closed nail polish balanced on her stomach and she keeps critically eyeing her nails as she speaks]

Yeah, people are being murdered, but we apparently come back so it's whatever. Explains why there's no ghosts around here, which honestly has led to the soundest sleep I've gotten in years. Can't complain about that.

Anyway the important thing is that with no one here, I haven't been able to get my hair or nails done in way too long. Does anyone know how to do nails?

[She holds out her hand to present her nails for emphasis; her nails have plain nail polish on it and she doesn't look really happy with it. She pulls back and looks down at them herself, heaving a sigh]

This place is so boring... What are you supposed to do for fun here? Aside from murder, apparently. [She rolls her eyes, her tone sarcastic. Gosh, murder, sooo original.]

But important things first: I need my nails done.

To be fair, I don't put hopes on anyone. I don't trust anyone but myself. You're all a freakshow and I respect literally none of you, but the least I can do is get some entertainment out of it.

[She heaves a sigh] Even if it was a stupid reason, I'd at least like to hear some reason we're all being holed up in here like this.

Yeah, me too. I have a sneaking suspicion of why for me and the guys I know here, but some confirmation wouldn’t be the worst thing to hear.

I try not to lie if I can help it. I hate liars. [Well the list of things she actually truly likes is very small anyhow, but. Still.]

Well, you've got one up on me then. I don't know why I would be chosen of all people. I'm an actress and a model. It's not like I'm the Emperor's daughter or anything special like that.

[She is half-dead technically, but Miu doesn't think that's interesting enough to be snatched up like this with all these other people who seem way more powerful]

I don't think I've heard of one thing yet that you like other than hair and nail care.

Who knows. Maybe they know something you don't. But not everybody can be a Hero of whatever like the one kid I've talked to, either, so you know.

[She pretends to think about it] No, that’s about it. Honesty, I don’t really like those either— I hate people touching me. But it’s a necessary evil in my line of work.

[she shifts and leans in a little, curious] A Hero? What, like… a superhero? Or a figurative hero like a firefighter rescuing cats from trees?

No, like a superhero if I understand it right. Had to have a license and all.

Y'know. Government's gotta make their cut too.

A license to be a superhero?? I mean. I guess? Like going in to get your driver's license but proving you know how to not kill someone with your super strength instead of parallel parking.

[She shakes her head.]

Other worlds are so weird. I mean, it's cool and all getting to learn about them though. Can't be too upset about getting to do that.
