[Miu appears lounging sideways on a chair, legs hanging over one arm. She's got some closed nail polish balanced on her stomach and she keeps critically eyeing her nails as she speaks]

Yeah, people are being murdered, but we apparently come back so it's whatever. Explains why there's no ghosts around here, which honestly has led to the soundest sleep I've gotten in years. Can't complain about that.

Anyway the important thing is that with no one here, I haven't been able to get my hair or nails done in way too long. Does anyone know how to do nails?

[She holds out her hand to present her nails for emphasis; her nails have plain nail polish on it and she doesn't look really happy with it. She pulls back and looks down at them herself, heaving a sigh]

This place is so boring... What are you supposed to do for fun here? Aside from murder, apparently. [She rolls her eyes, her tone sarcastic. Gosh, murder, sooo original.]

But important things first: I need my nails done.

Ugh, a spa day would be awesome right about now.

But I bet even if there were people in this big group that did jobs like that, they probably wouldn't return to them any time soon. Especially not without anyone paying for it, you know? What's the point then.

yeah i can see people thinking that.
still, these are things we need to think about for our continued survival
we may need to band together a collection of people who could perform these services
just like how we have some doctors and medical-types here

Hmm, that's true. Go back to the old ways of bartering or something. Guess we're all going to have to pick up some useful hobbies real quick...

[She can't think of a single thing she'd be useful for here though. Welp.]

we have plenty of time to pick up new skills!
and maybe we can teach each other how to perform certain tasks.
sure there's no money out of it but if there's no money here anyway then who cares?

It feels weird to be doing something for free... It doesn't feel right.

[SIGH...] But you do have a point. I've never had to take care of someone else before, but I guess it'd be neat to try something. I'll have to actually try and find something that catches my interest.

[Which is much easier said than done, and Miu doesn't have the slightest idea of where to begin, but. She's at least aware it's something she should do.]

[She says nothing for a long moment, the seconds ticking awkwardly by. She glances away, running a hand through her hair and shrugging]

I do whatever I'm told. Just point me somewhere and I'll do it, I guess.

I was a model and an actress before here, because that's what people told me I should do. So I did, and it was easy. That won't get me very far here, I guess unless strip shows are in demand. [She says it very sarcastically but honestly, she doesn't think she'd care even if it was. Caring about that would require some care about herself, and she just, uh, doesn't bother.]

[ That's not an uncommon thing to experience even outside of modeling. She also once did what she was told and only that. Now she never does what she's told and takes pride in wasting important people's time. A spiteful sort of revenge. ]

a lot of people are like that
going through the motions and doing what others tell them
maybe this is a good thing for you in a way?
now you have a chance to really think for the first time about what you want.

I guess... [She gives a very dramatic sigh though] But, ugh having to make my own decisions. I'm too pretty to think.
