hey. bumped into people around here looking for others to do stuff with, like sports, hanging out, etc. was thinking we could share what hobbies we have and maybe find people to do stuff with. or even just chat about whatever.

i visit the gym for muscle training with a friend, go running with another (who should talk about that). used to skateboard and even played soccer years ago. i know karate if anyone else does it. and a sensei who won't mind teaching if anyone's interested.

so, yeah. you into fashion, music, or just want to talk about something with people, could be fun. find out if anyone else is really into big fluffy birds called chocobos

Well, it's a feeling, first and foremost.
It's hard to describe. But it's a feeling you get when you are pleased or happy about something that you've done.
Perhaps the most pleased or most happy about that certain thing.
Say, if you often make household items and weapons, and there is a specific item or weapon that you often think back to. Or makes you happy thinking of it, or something that you wanted to tell someone else that you made it.
It's that sort of thing.
That's called 'feeling proud' of something you've made.
It's something exceptional; for a moment, you've taken something that only existed as an image in your head and turned it into reality. You've made it yours.
Does that make sense?

When people are happy with the things I have made, I am happy too. I do not know if this is the same as feeling proud, or if there was one especially exceptional moment, but that much is true.

Perhaps that means there's a measure of pride in all the things in you make, or perhaps you take pride in making others happy.

There is. There's a work I consider my magnum opus - the work that defines my lifetime, so to speak. At least up until now.
Where you are from, are there palaces?

There are, though I have only seen them from outside.

I think that would be the starting point. I built a palace, you see. It's called the Palace of the Alcazarzaray. I had a dream about it, and I took that dream and made it into reality. It was real, and for a moment, I could even call it mine.
If you were to descend into the Sumeran jungle and past the wending cliffs, you would see its green canopy rise from above the treetops. It's a fourteen-room palace built on a cliff held together by the roots of an ancient tree with a pagoda and a guest house on its grounds. It's green and wreathed in padisarahs. In the evenings, the moonlight trickles in through the stained glass windows to dye the Natlan marble floors green and blue - in the mornings, sunlight strikes off the waterfall backdrop to scatter mist-rainbows over its gardens.
So when I think of pride in my work, I always think of that palace. I don't know if I can ever build something like that again; I've always wondered if that was a blessing or a curse in of itself. But perhaps I ought to be simply glad that the palace exists, and will continue to exist long after I am gone.
Ah, I'm rambling. Sorry about that - this is getting overly long. I've attached a sketch to better illustrate what I'm talking about. I don't know if that helps.

She remembers the marble tiles stacked up in the stonemasons' workshops, even if she never saw what they looked like once put together, and she can't say she's been in the jungle nearly enough to know exactly what Kaveh is talking about.
