hey. bumped into people around here looking for others to do stuff with, like sports, hanging out, etc. was thinking we could share what hobbies we have and maybe find people to do stuff with. or even just chat about whatever.
i visit the gym for muscle training with a friend, go running with another (who should talk about that). used to skateboard and even played soccer years ago. i know karate if anyone else does it. and a sensei who won't mind teaching if anyone's interested.
so, yeah. you into fashion, music, or just want to talk about something with people, could be fun. find out if anyone else is really into big fluffy birds called chocobos
( ooc: please mingle, share character hobbies or whatever your character wants to chatter about. no need to ask robby anything. ♡

solid, kaveh thinks, is the word for it. ]
I see!
I found the walkman in a store that had many other electronics. I'd say it 'sold' them, but these places generally feel like walk-in warehouses than actual establishments, especially given the lack of currency.
I don't recall seeing any tapes, in but in my defense, I hadn't known to look for them.
Now I do.
If these tapes do what I think they do, then they operate very similar to a spincrystal - which is a repository of information encoded onto a physical surface, which can be read by technology that is tailored to do so.
But since these cassettes are old where you come from, you must be familiar with better ways to encode and read information.
Thank you. This information has been very useful. I'll go out and find tapes, and see what can be done with them.
I'd like to repay this favour when I can, however; if you ever need anything built, renovated or fixed or otherwise, let me know. I've nothing but time here after all, and a pair of idle hands to boot.
welcome back....to the world of the living
[ Also, the idea of pointing out things to someone not in the know is strangely funny in Robby's head right now. ]
but, sure, i'll let you know if i need a hand. since you seem to like this kind of stuff, [ knowing random facts, ] yeah, tapes work like you described. our current tech does too: information is imprinted on a surface and the device has a way of reading it. cassette tapes have a thin material on the inside.
if you see circles with a hole in the middle (you can find them in square plastic cases) those are CDs. that's what came next.

Speaking of names, what ought I call you? 'Displayname' is charming but I'd think that's a joke of a sorts.

[ Fuck, what's that C stand for!! ]
