[ He's making this post while he's also featuring on a livestream against his will, so naturally he's on perma-text. He's also managed to make this post visible for everyone except Louis, or at least he hopes?? As long as the tech advice he got was sound, and he'd got it from Armand so it's really a 50/50 on that. ]
Lestat here.
I come to you with a question in burning need of an answer, but first, a little context.
I have thrown many parties in my time, and have attended even more, and though I'm not at all interested in making this world a facsimile of my own, I am looking to cut loose a little, as the phrase goes.
It is my companion's birthday on Wednesday, October 4th. He doesn't enjoy attention, unlike myself, and will probably loathe the idea of any kind of celebration being thrown in honour of the occasion for a great many reasons, but I so rarely listen to his reason that I feel it would be more of a surprise to him if I didn't try to host a little get-together. And he deserves a little predictability.
I know he wasn't incredibly social before my arrival, but even without familiarity I can't see any reason why you'd be reluctant to attend a gathering with free food.
So, for my question, I would like suggestions for a location. Perhaps a restaurant of some kind? Typically, I would pay someone to do all this planning for me with only a vision in mind, but this City is nothing if not encouraging of being self-sufficient.
Also, if anyone out there is a musician: I have a few guitars, some drums. I'd like to play a song or two as a source of entertainment, and we all know solo acts are never quite as successful as a whole band.
For everyone else, please feel free to come along. Details will be added when I have them.
It's sure to be one hell of a night.

Though, I haven't seen a dulcimer or a pan flute in the music shops - do you have either of those on your person? Can you conjure them like your flowers?
no subject

[Ahem!]
companion and I have been exploring the restaurants on offer. I might be able to suggest a few things; for example are you looking for something upscale? Or more down-to-earth?
no subject
Ah, such a choice. I would prefer something upscale, but I know for certain he would prefer down to earth.
Perhaps something in the middle? But nothing too formal. I used to enjoy the rigorousness of that kind of attire, but I've since grown quite attached to rebelliousness.

[He thinks he's funny, okay.]
I know a little bistro that may be the perfect median between chic and homey. Good bit of floor space and out-door seating if the weather's nice.

Well, if you'd like, I'd attend if you have the desire for a bartender. I find mixing drinks pretty relaxing.
no subject
Having a bartender will go down very well, I should think. The easier it is to tempt those who need it most into letting their hair down, the better.
[ :) ]
Do you concoct your own potions, or are you more by the book?
no subject
Sometimes all you need is a decent drink. But yeah, I can make my own or do something traditional. Want met to just bring supplies?

[Nevermind that her singing is a little questionable but...]

[ Questionable as it may be, Lestat would still probably enjoy it. Eclectic was a word practically invented for him. ]
What do you like to sing?

Does that sound suitable to you?

If you are so interested in making music, I would be delighted to jam.
[ Let's not mention how weird it is for him to use the word jam with his strangely archaic patterns of speech, nor how proud he is that he managed to use the word correctly. :') ]

Name a time and place, I'll be there with bells on.

However, I will only accept such an offering if you show your face at the get together. It may not be your thing, but I give you my word I'll only insist on an hour or so of your time.

... Well, they seemed friendly in the park. Harmless. Midnight likes to think he's a fairly good judge of character. Perhaps it's a wonderfully theatrical name, just like his own? Or maybe they're just... nice?
... Okay, vampires are not nice, except for the ones that are eccentric enough to be relatively harmless, but Midnight is also aware that he can't just leave this alone either way. ]
I see you have a guitarist offering his services, but if you've room for a second, I can offer my own. I don't think I can pick up the drums in time, unfortunately, but I can try to be prepared for any future celebrations.

All good bands have the sense to have more than one guitarist. What kind of songs do you know, my friend?
