Different worlds? Okay. Still, I gotta see what I'm working with here since the last time I was in a place with people from whatever universe was at 1 AM at the coffee shop and everyone had the grand idea to suddenly order Neapolitan frappuccinos. So here's how I'm going to narrow down and categorize all of you for my sake.
First off, how do you pronounce GIF? With a 'g' or a 'j'
Answer carefully 😉😉😉
(and if you don't get it, don't worry about it, you just get sorted into the other category)

Why, how do you pronounce it? [Is he deliberately being a shithead? Oh, just a little bit <3]
I'm curious about this "Neapolitan" frappucino, though. Was it like the ice cream, with layers of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry flavoring in a suspension somehow, or something else? Because that actually sounds delicious.
[He kind of wants one now. Or maybe just some ice cream. Binghe! Put your boots on, we're going out for a midnight snack.]
audio;
I say it with a 'g' of course!
And you guessed right about the Neapolitan. It was a pain to make, to be honest, it's hard making those layers separate. And then you had fussy customers who ordered it but didn't want the strawberry or one of the other layers.
[Just ask! For all chocolate, all vanilla, or half and half!!]

Is there an opt-out.

I just wanna gauge who has internet in their world or not.
If you have it, you'll understand the question presented
If not then it's total nonsense
Either way, it's fun for me!

[ Helly is not entirely sure what a GIF is, but she's not going to admit that. It has a 'g' in it, why would it be a 'j'? This is the kind of pointless debate she can get behind. ]

[Monts will just assume since there's no reason to really doubt what a stranger says. Why would people lie on the internet after all...!]
I pronounce it that way too. It's such a fun way to find out what people will go to bat for when I bring up that question back at my barista job.

Asking the ever-relevant questions as usual, it seems.
voice;
Hey Weir!
And you're absolutely right. This is incredibly relevant. Do you want to know why? Of course, you do.
[she is ready to bowl him over regardless of any incoming protest... that's monts for you.]

Will you define it? Or does that have little to do with the correct answer?
audio;
Well, if you're able to answer it either way, it tells me a lot. It's less about being correct, more about whether you get what I'm talking about or not.

I'm happy to go along with the majority in pronouncing it with a hard g if that makes it easier.

JK, that's a neat fact though.
It's not a totally serious question so I'm not really policing anyone's right to use the wrong letter 😋

Three beautiful layers of mocha, vanilla bean, and strawberry blended with ice.

Since it starts with one.
[ are they called GIFs, specifically, where he's from? don't ask me, but the answer is Right There for him anyway. ]
And... I'm not sure if I read your post right...
Was that other universes coming to you in a coffee shop an actual thing that happened?
It's hard to tell with text, but you wrote it so casually...
[ that's like, kind of familiar? and also not? not sinclair just completely shrugging off the question of the century "gif vs jif" for something as inconsequential as the MULTIVERSE, please. ]
no subject
Some people definitely use 'j' though.
[Monts has grown to be very casual and calm about most things and that is because of and includes her abnormally normal job.]
And you got the right idea.
It's less that other universes were coming in.
The cafe already exists in different places and different times.

I offer my answer, though it doesn't require much consideration simply because it's neither way. I've never had to pronounce that word. As far as I am aware we don't have those where I am from. Although I am sure that I am not the first person who has never come across that term previously. However, if you have the time would you care to explain what a GIF is? Also what those Neapolitan frappuccinos are?
👋
Well, if you don't have gifs in your world then you're in the category where it doesn't exist. And that's totally fine! One less thing to worry about. It's just a moving looping image. I guess depending on how long we're stuck here, you'll come across it sooner or later.
And a frappuccino is a blended iced coffee drink. Though it doesn't have to have coffee in it. It's served in cafes and great as a sweet and cool treat for a hot day.
Neapolitan refers to a trio of flavors that are usually found in ice cream; chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry!
Hope that helps.
